Recently this came to my attention and I am unsure, what does CI think?

Oops poll should say commandment not command.

Absolutely it is, no question about it.
All blasphemy, and every appearance or suggestion of blasphemy should be shunned.

I see it as slang to *prevent* blasphemy. That's what one of slang's purposes, is it not? "Jeez" and "gosh" rather than their reverent cognates; "dang", "shoot", "fudge", and so forth rather than their more obscene cognates?

By all means, eliminate slang from your life. It's a sign of dullness and inarticulation. But it's not matter for sin, considered of itself.

I use slang, but I NEVER use jeez since that is the first syllable of Jesus.  I don't think any Christian should use it.
