    • Did you know that he was a good friend of Jacques Maritain who introduced Alinsky to Paul VI?  Also, one of his biggest financial backers in Chicago was Marshall Field - another Catholic.

    Now you know why he got the Paul VI award.

    I knew Cardinal Montini was matey with Alinsky but I didn't know that the relationship continued once he became Paul VI.
