And the hyper-Pelagian (has taken it 10x farther than Pelagius himself would ever have dared) had the temerity to call Traditional Catholics "Pelagians" (of course, that from ignorance, and he obviously mean Jansenists ... but still).
It's the Novus Ordo people who are the (neo-)Jansenists.
Yes, that's what I said. They come up with all kinds of fanatical nonsense. There's an idea floating around out there that any deliberate, fully willed sin against one of the Ten Commandments is "grave" matter, as well as the idea that your salvation is in jeopardy if you don't do a blind "trust fall" into the arms of Francis and swallow every word he says, hook, line, and sinker. (Jim Jones would have been proud.) These are just two examples.
They're the ones who are the religious fanatics, not us.
But oddly enough, they're also the ones who are okay with unrepentant contraceptors receiving communion ("not to judge"... "it is of the conscience"...), and who view it as "pastoral" for pro-abortion politicians to be given communion. Enabling abortion isn't "grave", but lying to Aunt Maude about how pretty her ugly hat is,
is "grave".
They're kooks!
