  • So I understand that icons of the Son and the Holy Spirit are ok, since the Word became flesh and the Holy Spirit is depicted as flames/a dove in scripture. But what about God the Father? Also is the ancient of days the Son or the Father?

  • God the Father is depicted as a Father.
I have only noticed icons that depict All Three Persons.

Also icons the Heavenly Trinity 9vertically) and the earthly Trinity - Joseph, Mary and the Child Jesus (horizontally), the centre being Jesus, the Son..

This is not an icon but a painting by Murillo

God is Eternal and One. That means no beginning, no end, no ages.

Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.
