    • AI is supposed to be computers becoming sentient, being able to think like a human being or better.

    Of course that's ridiculous, since a purely physical thing can never rise above its nature and perceive the essence of things as only a spiritual being can.

    Computers becoming sentient is metaphysically impossible.

    HOWEVER, devils can put on a good show. There might someday be an "entity" within the machine -- but it will be one of the fallen angels, not the result of man's creation or computer programming.

    Who knows, this might have been a trick the devils have done in the past! Perhaps before the flood, he guided man to build computers back then as well, and then possessed some of them as a fake "AI". We know that in many cases, the devils/idols would talk to the pagan races that worshiped them. They were not always motionless or dumb.

    Apparently there are quotes about Modern AI having "an entity take over" or what not, but I haven't seen any discussion of it on CathInfo.

    This reminds me of the idea I talked about, that human technology advancement since the reformation (and especially the advancement in computers recently) was inspired by demons giving secret knowledge to apostate scientists.

    However, I wonder if what you describe would be allowed by God. It reminds me of necromancy. Since I don't think we have a lot of corpses being animated by demons walking around (vampires or zombies) I don't know if we would have machines with demon souls in them as something demons have the power to do and God allows.

    But holy water is powerful. As everyone who has ever played Castlevania knows, when you throw bottles of holy water at monsters it kills them, and it can even break through walls and floors.
