This is true, but to clarify, even if Christ had not overturned the tables of the money changers at the Temple, He still would have been rejected, betrayed and handed over by the jews to be crucified. Most of the jews yelling, "crucify him !!" ... "His blood be upon us and our children !!", were not bankers of any sort. They were your "average" jew. The jews are the antithesis of The Beatitudes, hence they are repulsed by the Holy Christ, and thus seek to attack, blackball and censor Him and His followers in any way possible.

Even in the Old Testament the Jews as a whole proved to be ungrateful in their privileged position as the "Chosen People". God was very patient for centuries with these Jews in the Old Testament until he sent His Only Son, Jesus Christ and the Jews rejected and crucified Him. We read this in the Book of Matthew and then in the Book of John,
