How many sins of the flesh to mock St. Valentine?
« on: February 13, 2022, 09:02:18 AM »
How many cases of false marriage, divorce, remarriage, adultery, fornication, and sodomy will be celebrated tomorrow "in honor of" the Catholic St. Valentine, especially tomorrow the 14th?

I'm sure the Catholic Saint would be horrified of the things done in his name, or to celebrate his entrance to heaven on Feb 14th many years ago.

Not just any sins, but sins of the Sixth and Ninth -- the kind the devils use ALL the time, but are no closer to understanding than they were 6,000 years ago. They are mystified by the power our flesh can have over us.

Envy, anger, blasphemy, rebellion, disobedience, treason, lying, murder, stealing -- these things the devils understand WELL, and can relate to. But Sixth and Ninth? Not at all. The devils have never had bodies, neither before or after their fall. So they are somewhat mystified by these sins.

I wouldn't say so. As they are extremely intelligent and can see well the addictive and devastating effects those sins have on mankind. Recall that they can pull memories to tempt us, and those of us who had the misfortune of ever having a porn addiction know well that they can drum up these memories.

The Jews have done untold damage to Catholic society by perverting our Feast days.
One need only think of St. Patrick's day - one of the great missionary Saints is now "celebrated" worldwide in horrendous displays of binge drinking and all round vice.

I never said they didn't use them as tools. But considering it's their most effective tool, it's nevertheless true that the fallen angels are a *complete stranger* to these sins personally, unlike the other sins I listed.

You can understand and use something, without having any personal experience of it.

Of course angels and devils have an implicit knowledge of the functions of the human body, but it's all like a scientist and his test subjects. A source of endless wonder and curiosity, since they could/can never experience it themselves.

There are (male) obstetricians who spend 40 years delivering babies. But they still don't know what it's like to feel a baby growing and kicking in their womb. To form that emotional bond with your baby as a mother, as you breastfeed and care for your baby. That's what I'm talking about.

Is there actually a Catholic holiday celebrating St. Valentine? Or is it just made up so they can sell things?
