Homeschooling groups being invaded

  • I’m on Facebook for only two reasons, to buy and sell goods locally in my town, and to network with homeschoolers like me.

One serious problem I’ve experienced is, and especially in the last month or so, the homeschool groups I’m in have not only grown in numbers by leaps and bounds (school shut-downs) but there is a new sub-type of people in these groups that are literally the worst of the worst. I’m speaking of lgbtq, atheist, religion-hating, pro-antifa, Marxist, Communist, homeschooling parents.
    It’s BAD.
And what’s worse, is that these sick people are now dominating the forums with the most vile and hateful insults against people for their beliefs. Specifically, Christianity. And they are aggressively going after American and World History, those seem to be the main targets.

Average homeschooling parents try to post questions in the groups, looking for history, or religious resources, and they are quickly pounced on by three or more of these antifa-types.
I had this happen to me, and had 10 of them after me at once.
Their battle cry: false history, the evil Christians, Jesus wasn’t a real person, racism, bigotry, Columbus stealing land and slaughtering innocent people.
And if you dare try to defend choosing your own curriculum for own children, it gets worse. They don’t let up and they angrily, and personally attack anyone who tries to take a stand for themselves. And guess what, while all this happens, admins are silent. They allow this nastiness and hatred to continue unhinged. And these homeschool groups have been well established and respected by homeschoolers for many years.
The admins used to shut down or delete any mean or hateful comments. And they still will, but not the antifa’s comments, they are immune.
    They’re afraid of them.

And this has nothing to do with the company Facebook, other than they will ignore you if you flag a comment, but this is the groups themselves, as the admins are still responsible for their own forums.
I’m in other groups that absolutely would not tolerate this type of behavior. But here these jokers get the mic in the bigger groups.

Today I was kicked out the largest homeschool resource group on FB. Because I stood up and tried to defend not only Christ, but the parents right to choose the history or religious curriculum of their choice.
The admins got rid of me because I caused ‘waves’ and ‘drama’. But the atifas get to jump down people’s throats and scream ‘racism’, and ‘hate’, at people for daring to school a way other than how they *think*.

And this is only Facebook. I’d hate to think what’s happening in homeschool support groups and co-ops that meet in person.

I’ve never seen anything like this. Everyone has lost their minds.
    Hardly anyone cares anymore.

Serious persecution is coming and soon.
    I weep for my children.

My family lost their everything to communism and were fortunate to leave our country alive with just the clothes on our backs. I was 6 years old at the time. It turned out that it was the best thing that happened to me, for had life continued the way we were living, rich,  I likely would have been a totally different person. By God's Providence I grew up having to earn my way, same as my father and his father before him, when they were growing up. And we all lived and worked together till both of them died late in their years. Nothing happens by accident, trust in God and do your job teaching your children truth, and let God sort out the rest.

They are not afraid of them, they are one of them, or have become one of them. *THAT'S* what's going on. The freaks have grown more audacious since the hippie era, you are just now experiencing it as they unashamedly show their Godless selves more and more.

Hopefully you can privately contact some of the people from that group when you have the need, but you know the devil is in everything and he wants the children worst of all, so stay away from that group! Be glad it's only FB and not real life, look upon them banning you as a blessing, thank God for it and go from there.

FB is run by the determined and avowed enemy of God, so really, it was just a matter of time before the devil made his way into that noble group, well, he as you saw, he finally made it and if you were to go back in another month or two, you likely wouldn't recognize it.

  • We homeschool on our own --- it's just me, my son's mother is not a part of his life, so much the better, she has been in an invalid non-marriage for the past nine years --- and don't look to any support groups or homeschooling groups.  I select his texts from a mix of Catholic and secular sources --- we get the secular literature anthologies (McGraw-Hill, etc.) and pick out only the classic, traditional, tried-and-true selections, we leave all of that politically correct Common Core crap alone.  European-American boys don't need to be subjected to endless stories about girls and how they transcended their "fragile" self-esteem, or what this minority or that one did while they were growing up in the ghetto.  We also have The Dangerous Book For Boys, which IIRC +Bishop Williamson recommended (I could be wrong about that).  We incorporate target practice into our PE class, how many schools can say that?

  • I'd stay off the commie forums and keep the homeschooling as simple as possible.

If I had to do it over again, here's where I'd go for my home schooling resource.

There are other good groups out there and I don’t have the time to start a new one.
I do not mourn the loss of that group at all. I just posted about my experience here to warn people what’s happening in these places. The places that used to be a refuge for those going against the grain, schooling their children themselves instead of sending them off to be indoctrinated somewhere else.

  • Try traditional Catholic home Schooling
I would love to but those curriculums are very expensive and with several school aged children and living on one part-time income, it’s way beyond our reach.
Most of our curriculum is free using online resources and some I have found on Facebook groups.
All of our Catechisms I found on eBay second hand, such as Daughters of Mary, and a few others.

The signs of coming persecution surround us and we are more and more likely to encounter them in our everyday lives.  It sounds like it was an unpleasant situation for you to be in, but unfortunately this probably just the beginning.  Stay strong.

You can "roll your own" when it comes to traditional Catholic home schooling.  That's what we do.  Curriculum doesn't have to be expensive.

  • I wouldn't use Faceberg at all, they're profiling you and it is an easy way to get doxxed by Communists and extreme leftists.

There are traditional homeschooling groups that use other more secure platforms.
