I watched this film a number of years ago and what's surprising is that not only is it extremely violent and has the usual "catfight" and "girl falls in love with bad boy" formula but it makes this homicidal maniac and school shooter and bomber appear to be just "so cool." If you ever wonder why there has been such a widespread incident of school shootings you only need to look at these Hollywood high school movies from the 80's and 90's that makes it seem cool and gives prestige and fame to these evil individuals. Yes indeed Hollywood creates the worst in people.

Another thing is that this film makes any descent morality morally ambiguous because anyone who is actually a descent person in this movie is forced into the background while the mean and evil chracters in the movie are given the spotlight, especially the Winona Ryder chracter and the Christian Slater homicidal maniac character. Yes indeed one must be very mentally disturbed and a vile individual to want to shoot up a school just as one must be mentally disturbed to watch a film like this, complete and utter filth.

It certainly was a sick piece of cinema.
