On Irish radio yesterday, a scientist from Trinity University Dublin was discussing the complexities of the human brain. He was asked by the radio man why we remember useless stuff that uses up our memory bank. The brain 'scientist' said we do not fully understand all the workings of the brain as it has evolved over billions of years. You couldn't make it up.

Good posts Matthew.  Agree.  Just on logic and reason alone they can be refuted.  I used to be an atheist from around age 14-22 and I'm 40 now.  Most atheists actually believe in God, they just hate him, and want to mock everything He stands for which is why they do their typical hamstering. Their way to "get back at Him" is to not believe in Him but it's like a repression that one needs to keep doing in order to con-vince themselves that He's not real but underneath the facade, they know.

Another one I like to use is I'd ask what determines what the different senses in our body do and why.  What determines the "rules" of life and how it works?  How did light "evolve," what determines that we need light to see?  There's other such examples of things that they cannot reduce to it's lowest common denominator without looking like complete idiots and you can trap them into having to admit of Intelligent Design or they would look like an idiot, or they exit the convo with "some day science will be able to explain" or rage quit.

Yes, they speak of over 25 "universal constants" that, if different, would prohibit the universe existing as we know it.

These theoretical physicists DON'T LIKE these "constants", which have a value and "just are".

They even suggest ideas to explain it, such as: there are multiple universes, most don't have matter existing in them (because bad "constants"), but we happen to live in the Universe that won the lottery, so to speak.

It's evolution again, random blind chance replacing God, as always. Insane, objectively speaking.
