FROM ZION TO BABYLON — The Harlot Revealed
Michael James Perry
“The kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.” (Revelation 17:2)
Jerusalem — once the holy city — has in these last days become the centrepiece of abomination upon the earth. She has risen as the epicentre of persecution against the Lord Jesus Christ, His disciples, and the blood‑bought saints of God. She has not repented. Her judgment has already been decreed in the heavens.
She has drunk the blood of the saints and of the martyrs of Jesus — and she continues to drink. This satanic ritual has been laid bare. Her nakedness is exposed before all creation. She is, as the Scripture declares, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH (Revelation 17:5).
The kings of the earth, the merchants, the religious systems — all have fornicated with her. All the nations have been intoxicated by her cup of deception. But the LORD has remembered her iniquities.
This is not new. Long before John saw the great Harlot, the Lord had already exposed Israel’s hidden idolatry: “You also carried Sikkuth your king and Chiun, your idols, the star of your gods, which you made for yourselves” (Amos 5:26, NKJV; cf. KJV). Stephen, standing before the very council that had delivered up the Lord Jesus, reaches back to Amos and hurls the same indictment at Jerusalem in his day: “Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon” (Acts 7:43, KJV). The star of Remphan was not a harmless decoration but the banner of a rival king — a counterfeit heavenly power enthroned in the midst of Israel’s worship, carried alongside the ark, hidden under the cloak of outward devotion to the LORD. They wore His Name on their lips, but bore another star in their hands; they claimed His temple, but carried a different throne in their hearts.
So too in these last days, the Jerusalem that should have shone as the joy of the whole earth has exalted another king, another spirit, and has turned the holy city into Babylon’s daughter. The same pattern repeats: feasts, fasts, and festivals continue, but the star of Remphan burns over the city’s politics, its alliances, its religious machinery. What began as secret idolatry in the wilderness has matured into open harlotry upon the nations; the star‑god of old has become the spiritual architecture of a global system. The city that once bore the lamp of God has taken up the torch of the dragon, seducing kings, merchants, and religious powers under a counterfeit light — until at last she appears in John’s vision as that woman “drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus” (Revelation 17:6, NASB).
And the plagues that are written will not fall in a vacuum. They will strike the imperial–colonial networks and financial empires that have bound themselves to her, for she has aligned herself with the beast and with the kings of the earth. In every age the beast clothes itself in new garments — empire, ideology, technocratic power, militarised global order — but its spirit is the same: a blasphemous, God‑defying system that demands worship and enforces loyalty through seduction and coercion. In our time it manifests prophetically in those interlocking structures of political, economic and religious power that trample the weak, traffic in blood, and make war against the Lamb while speaking the language of peace. God Himself will put it into the hearts of the very kings who once upheld her, to hate the harlot, strip her naked, devour her flesh and burn her with fire, for He has decreed that in one hour their alliance will turn, and the beast‑system will become the very instrument of her ruin (cf. Revelation 17:12–17; 18:8–10).
And now the call goes forth — loud and clear:
“COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues” (Revelation 18:4, NASB; cf. KJV).
The Lord is calling His people OUT — out of the corrupt spiritual systems that she has birthed and presides over. She is the mother of the false religious order that has enslaved Christianity and all the earth’s religions in a web of spiritual fornication and idolatry. These systems were not born of God — they were constructed in her image, and she is primarily responsible for the deception of the nations, together with the beast‑powers that carry her.
Come out. Separate. Be holy.
And now the call goes forth — loud and clear:
🔔 "COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." — Revelation 18:4
The hour of her judgment has come. Do not be found in her when the plagues fall.
