  • Roscoe, if I may ask, which source would you say is most authoritative on Bl. Pius IX?

Questions I have about him concern:

    1) The case of Fr. Edgardo Mortara
    2) His dealings with the Jєωs
    3) Something in wikipedia that said something about his having his foot over an Eastern schismatic Patriarch, which strangely did not sound charitable (Although I would like to know what that's all about since wikipedia has doubtful information here and there)
    4) The example he gave
    5) The canonization of Pedro de Arbuez

"Non nobis, Domine, non nobis; sed nomini tuo da gloriam..." (Ps. 113:9)

  • Apostolic Benediction KP--Kertzers books that I have mentioned before will be highly beneficial; even though he is a judaic, the books are worth reading.
    Popes Against The Jєωs
    Kidnapping Of Edgardo Mortara
    Prisoner Of The Vatican

There Is No Such Thing As 'Sede Vacantism'...
nor is there such thing as a 'Feeneyite' or 'Feeneyism'

  • Thank you, roscoe. If ever someone argued against certain facts about Bl. Pius IX, I would like to be able to tell them more in his defense and cite good sources about him.
