I'm sure this thread's topic is crude because the murdering of Gaddafi isn't a Tolkien tale but bloody reality.

We Western people should be ashamed that our so called governments are a bunch of non-christian war criminals which raid one country after the other.

Ten thousands of killed civil people in Libya, Afghanistan, over a million in Iraq, soon Syria, then Iran and then ... World War III ? Well, we Western hypocrites asked for it. For sure the wrath of God will be terribly hitting us (Vatican II would suffice for that already, of course).

This is exactly where they want us. The west can move in and take over a country and murder its leader and then plunder it resources and we sit back and make jokes about his death.

The question is, was Gadaffi a legitimate civil authority? If he was then it would be unlawful to plot against him.

You are right. In the very beginning after the military coup this could have been questioned, but not this long after.

Doesn't that beg the question again, whether or not King Idris was a lawful authority? I don't even know how someone determines if a civil authority is legitimate or not. Perhaps the Church's judgement is necessary.

All legitimate authority comes from God, but that doesn't mean a democratic process by the people cannot be utilized as a means of establishing that authority. How did royal lines come about in the first place?

And I don't mean to infer that Gaddafi used democratic means.

How is he any more a dictator than Obama?

If he was killed because he was a cruel dictator, why do you not see the west interfering in Zimbabwe and doing the same thing to Mugabe?

Obviously Gadaffi's country has a lot more resources than Zimbabwe.

If you killed all dictators then there would be a lot of countries with no head.
