    What particularly struck me:

    interviewer: "Yet, it's hard to understand who are his close collaborators."
    Perhaps he hasn't seen this:

    Thus, Francis's biographer recognizes there is a "new kind of power," separate from the papacy, operating in Francis's pontificate(?).
