  • Pope Francis uses these interviews with "Scalfari" to send out trial balloons to see how the Catholic world reacts.

Imagine:  The reporter is an avowed atheist who never takes notes and reconstructs the conversation after the fact!  And this is the reporter the Bishop of Rome seeks out?

    ?

I think the Bishop of Rome is already on record as saying "there is no Catholic God".
He's been "misquoted" by Scalfari before without any apologies or comments from the latter, and yet Francis continues to go to him for more interviews? It's clear to anyone with any common sense that the quotes are real.

This athiest is also someone who has admitted to having lied about what Pope Francis has said in the past.

    .
Jorge-of-Rome Bergoglio is a repeat customer.
Nobody is holding a gun to his head demanding that he has an audience with Eugenio Scalfari "his atheist friend."
How many traditional Catholics can't get the time of day from BoR Jorge?
Having what he says misquoted by someone else gives him the opportunity to say he is misunderstood, which apparently fits his agenda like hand-in-glove.  Ask Orenthal James about that one, another expert on being the victim of misunderstanding.

Jesus' promise to Peter was that the gates of Hell would not prevail. We have to trust in Jesus.

The holder of the Papacy matters a great deal.  If he is saintly he brings glory to the church, if he is a sinner he brings disparagement, if he is an apostate he brings destruction.

I think that means that Hell will not COMPLETELY prevail.. but then, I guess it either prevails or it doesn't so ... never mind as Ratner would say
anyway, I have found that NO Masses can be very efficacious. But all priests do not... I feel... um... well, let's just say that I don't think the Real Presence is with ALL NO priests...

  • In his most recent apostolic exhortation, Gaudete et Exsultate, Pope Francis warns that the devil is not a myth but a “personal being who assails us”

Well, Pope Francis contradicts himself quite often. And he tends to phrase things according to his audience at the time.

Modernists tend to behave strangely. They have to find a way to live with contradiction.
"It is licit to resist a Sovereign Pontiff who is trying to destroy the Church. I say it is licit to resist him in not following his orders and in preventing the execution of his will. It is not licit to Judge him, to punish him, or to depose him, for these are acts proper to a superior."

    ~St. Robert Bellarmine
    De Romano Pontifice, Lib.II, c.29
