  • CHARLES EDWARD COUGHLIN

On this earth you must belong to the church militant or get the hell out of it. That's the right word. You're either with me or against me' There is no middle ground in this battle between Christ and the anti-Christ. If you step out of (the battle), you're worse than those boys who ran off to Norway, Sweden, those boys who deserted the government. You're deserters, rotten deserters.

  • He wrote a book called "The Pope vs the Bishops" or vice versa.  It's about the VII mess.

Huh?  Isn't this the priest who dared to speak of Jєωιѕн conspiracy, who even expressed some sympathy with the ( supposed ) anti-Jєωιѕн policies of Hitler and Mussolini? So why is he supporting a Jєωιѕн war?

Maybe he's talking about German boys who ran off to Norway or Sweden, ha ha.  That would make more sense geographically.  Our boys would run off to Canada.  I know if I were drafted, that's where I'd be going.  But somehow I doubt he was that much in favor of Hitler.  I think his point was more like "Well, it's not a bad thing to want the Jєωs out of the country because they destroy the economy."

Thursday, he retired in 1966.  True, he still could have spoken out, but it is possible he was embittered.  Extremely interesting, prophetic figure.  He basically foresaw the financial crisis today and all this money being printed out of thin air.

  • Oh, and when I talk about the Vatican already being corrupt long before Vatican II, this is what I'm talking about.

They silence Father Coughlin and silence the Cristeros of Mexico and silence Action Francaise?  Why is it anyone who goes against the policies of the Jєωs and the communists, anyone who is any real danger, is silenced?  ( Sorry, I will not add Father Feeney to the list of martyrs, because he only added to the confusion unnecessarily ).  This guy could have changed history, this Father Coughlin.  He could have woken up Americans to who really controlled them.

You see, the Magisterium was still intact, but the POLITICAL policies of the Church were incomprehensible -- practically anti-Catholic and pro-democracy, pro-Jєωιѕн-progress.

I think the quote a lot of people use as an excuse to not be sede, "The Pharisees sit in the Temple, do what they say and not what they do," could easily apply to Benedict XV-Pius XI.  With the Vatican II Popes, you can't do what they say OR what they do.  As for the supreme enigma known as Pius XII, if you want to use NFP, you can use him as an excuse on the Day of Judgment.  I wouldn't though.

  • I didn't know about that book you mention, Bishops vs Pope.

I have read Mary Ball Martinez's book, pretty interesting, and from a unique perspective. Deserves its own thread that one.

    Can be had online.
