  • I recently read an article in the Remnant by Proffessor Raymond Marin. It was called "The Fatal Flaw in Vatican II".
The point was that any of the Priests. Cardinals, Bishops, and most certainly the two presiding Popes of VII were under the Oath against Modernism issued by Pope Saint Pius X. They all broke that oath as it was taken by every new priest up until sometime aroung 1968 or so.
The swore to protect the Chruch from the very thing they brought into the Church. Any man is known by his ability to keep an oath. Your word is your honor. How much someone who has taken Holy Orders?
I am surprised how many times educated persons can ben this way and that to justify saying that, in spite of all the evendence, the current occupant of the Chair of Peter deserves to be where he is at.
Then, they will say that people who think like me do not remember that the Holy Spirit promised that could not happen. That we can not have gone so long with no one guiding the Church. Wrong, it is precisely the Holy Spirit who is at the reins and holding the Churchc together while the "Robber Barons" are raping and pillaging.
I think that to reach this conclusion is to put my trust fully in the Holy Spirit and his warriors, The Holy Mother of God, St. Joseph, St. Michael and Sts. Peter and Paul.

  • Nope, just stating my way of thinking. Part of it is that you can debate and look at it this way and that, but, they swore to defend those previous Papal teachings that were taught Ex Cathedra and they did not keep their oath. Not only not keep it but, make as Bendict is on record as saying, but create an Anti-Syllabus. I will not defend them but ask them why they lied when they took the oath, because by that point in their education they had come to the conclusion that they did not believe these teachings. This is not something that I did, they did it. The questions should be directed at them not me.

  • Too bad none of us have the ability to have people appear in front of us so we can ask them questions.

  • Too true. I would ask them why they broke their oath. The fact remains that Benedict read the Syllabus as well as all the other encylicals against modernism. He rejected them when he said he would make a anti-Syllabus. He wanted to tear down the bastions of the Church or some such revolutionary rot. He has made it perfectly clear where he stands He rejects the popes before John XXIII. I reject his false teachings.
