And for post #666 he will start a thread about Pope Leo XIII, the Revolutionary Regicide.
The above is an example of what has been called my elliptical style.
My meaning is clear in the light of the "other" thread.
But I don't think that it is ever a good idea to start new threads that can not be understood by people who have not read another thread. It's bad form. It makes internet forum communication unworkable.
So I shall fill in the gaps of the ellipsis. I am no more a Zionist because I defended Israel as a dirty-handed nation among dirty-handed nations, than Leo XIII was a Revolutionary insofar as he accepted Revolutionary governments as willed by God.
For a lot of different reasons I think that this thread title is totally out of line. If I call people Godless liars and Gestapo members in one thread I expect them to throw whatever they have at me in that thread. But not start new ones just to be nasty and abusive, hurling news stories at me and others pointlessly.
What is the point of connecting my name and dust-7's to this story? What is the point of bringing it in at all? Is the poster generously admitting that yes, even sixty years after the h0Ɩ0cαųst people are still giving Jєωs a hard time in whatever way they can short of genocide? The stupidly false accusation of Zionism precludes any such kindly interpretation.
So do we believe this story? If we believe it are we to be glad about what happened to the poor woman? Do we not believe it? What's our game here? What's our point?
So shall I now start posting photographs of little Jєωιѕн children with their hands in the air and their lips in mid-quiver as nαzι thugs smirk over them? Shall I entitle my thread What Gladius Likes to Ponder When He's Feeling Blue? If not, why not?
We should never be totalitarian Fascist fanatics in our hostilities. We should be cool and collected.
We should never make total war. Those who are steeped in the tradition of Christendom's chivalry and Scholasticism know this. Trouble is, no one from the Crusaders to the Inquisitors, except maybe St Louis, ever really abided by those high-flown ideals. The REAL tradition of Catholics -being louts and bullies against those who are not members of the Club, be they Jєωs or Protties or "Zionists"- is bound to become the besetting sin of Catholics who are into being Traditionally Catholic, and not necessarily Christlike.
