  • The confederate flag came down in South Carolina, but now they want to dig up Nathan Bedford Forrest and his wife and expell them from the cemetery in Memphis.  But now they are even claiming that the  fleur-de-lis is a racist symbol that is offensive and Louisiana has to change its state symbol.

    When will the madness stop?
We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

I say no to getting rid of the fleur di lys. That symbol has represented royal Monarchy in France and was used on St. Joan of Arc's standard. The devil is having a field day. This is a move to get rid of all our freedoms eventually.

  • The confederate flag is also a Christian symbol based on St. Andrew's cross, which appeared on the Scottish national flag.  St. Andrew the apostle was crucified on an X.  They are starting with the most vulnerable symbols and working their way to banning everything that harks of Christianity.

It should also be pointed out that the flor-de-lis is on the coat of arms of Bishop Faure.

  • The Red Cross was supposed to get rid of their cross.  And street names will be next.  Maybe the enemy will go after the name of cities, like those of CA.

  • I did a post on the confederate flag by the way.  I think a great bit of this information has been posted in other links on Cath Info, but this is like a type of summary...

  • This has now reached beyond the level of stupidity.  At least with the Confederate Flag there was an argument to made, however weak, by those who want it taken down--it is regularly used by white supremacists.  No one these days ever uses the fleur-de-lis in such a way.  I have only ever seen it used as a symbol of French culture, or sometimes just as a fancy symbol.
