  • The horizon always appears perfectly flat 360 degrees around the observer regardless of altitude. All amateur balloon, rocket, plane and drone footage show a completely flat horizon over 20+ miles high. Only NASA and other government “space agencies” show curvature in their fake CGI photos/videos.

  • The horizon always rises to the eye level of the observer as altitude is gained, so you never have to look down to see it. If Earth were in fact a globe, no matter how large, as you ascended the horizon would stay fixed and the observer / camera would have to tilt looking down further and further to see it.

  • The natural physics of water is to find and maintain its level. If Earth were a giant sphere tilted, wobbling and hurdling through infinite space then truly flat, consistently level surfaces would not exist here. But since Earth is in fact an extended flat plane, this fundamental physical property of fluids finding and remaining level is consistent with experience and common sense.

What purpose do these "flat Earth" threads serve on these forums? Where is the moderator to delete these OBVIOUS intentional efforts to make anyone posting on these forums appear nuts?

We have photos from space, looking back at the Earth. The photos reveal the Earth is spherical. This clearly is not up for debate. Why are the moderators here allowing intentional infiltration efforts to defame and lower the value of legitimate posts on these forums?

The only reason I can surmise is that the owner of this forum, and perhaps the moderators, share the same goal to defame. What is a better traditional Catholic forum for everyone here to participate in? Can anyone please share some links to a legitimate forum that is not being used to defame through intentional and organized infiltration?

    Thanks,

    Steve

The forum does tolerate minority opinions provided they don't involve crudity or attacks on the Faith. That being said, it probably would be prudent that answers to that flat earth thread don't appear under 'New Posts.' The claim of a belief in a flat earth somehow refuted by Christopher Columbus was concocted by Protestant historians as a means of detraction against the Holy Faith. Even an accurate figure for the earth's circuмference of 252,000 stadia was arrived at by Eratosthenes of Cyrene (only 0.16% out) in the third century BC. Christopher Columbus studied his opinion and rejected it, as it would have made his journey to Asia an impossibility, and it was a likely reason why his venture met with such limited interest for a time. The Portuguese had already  made notable efforts with long distance seafaring and mapped their results

Belief in flat earth dates back to Enoch sir.  Catholic monk Cosmas of Indiocopleustes refuted the PAGANS of his day (550 a.d.) who said earth was a sphere.  His book, Christian Topography can be obtained and read online for free.  Scripture is a flat earth book and every true Catholic Christian should already know they are bound by its teachings.  The Heliocentric false model of creation is the science of the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr and no Catholic worth his salt ought to dismiss this subject without further study.

Flat earth is the true model of God's creation according to Church Fathers and Catholic teaching.  The accepted model is pagan, handed down from Pythagoras, Copernicus, Keplar Newton, Einstein and NASA.  It is the basis for the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr religion and is the science falsely so-called scripture warns about.  Test the spirit, take a serious look before you make a rash judgement.

The purpose of discussing flat earth is because it is Biblical, and our faith rests on Scripture and Tradition.

Whether we have legitimate photos from space is most definitely up for debate.

The owner of the forum may not be a flat earther, but he is very generous to allow discussion of it here, since all of the silly SSPX boards don't even allow discussion of geocentrism - let alone the flat earth.

  • Flat earth is misinformation at it's very best. And down right retardedness at worst. Well actually it could be alot more, at worst, it could be the "Great Delusion" spoken of in the Book of Thessalonians.

So I always ask flat earthers what would happen if tomorrow everyone woke up and beleived that the earth was flat ?

Again, not that the world would be flat but that everyone believed that it was flat?

Well obviously then all you would have to do is produce the so called real images that flat earthers are craving for. And thats not such a hard thing to do, is it ?

Hollywood can do that in 3d.

And people saying that they are Christian and believe in flat earth are disgusting.

  • Flat earth is not a belief. Belief is when you cannot see something.

The flat earth you can see, and prove, scientifically.
Refusing to look at the information and proofs provided is your problem not ours.

So it doesn't matter whether muslims or any other religion accept the earth to be flat.

You need to do some research and reflection before attacking.

Look at the flat earth horizon in these pictures. You are going to have to apologize to us Catholics' and then go to confession.

  • Spherical earth is a religion.  You have to have faith in the one who tells you its spherical because you cannot see it's spherical, or test for sphericity for yourself.  In fact, simple tests, common math, and your own eyes always reveal to you that earth is flat, but your FAITH in earth being a ball is so strong, that you deny what God's Word says about creation and then yell at Catholics who actually believe scripture and the Church Fathers.  Modern science is a religion, and those who believe earth is a sphere comprise the laity of a pagan church whose high priests are atheist scientists like Pythagorus, Newton, Keplar, Einstein, Sagan, and NASA.  And such people have the nerve to complain against those who believe the true God?
