Outside the flat-earthers there is no salvation. LOL.

Outside the true Faith there is no salvation.  Flat earth is the true representation of God's creation, so it does matter and if one loves God, one should want to know what God teaches about the world we live in.

Quit trying to convert them, you might ease their conscience.

  • These threads used to be funny, then I realized that they were serious and that there are more than a few people who actually believe that the earth is flat, and are so closed minded that they dismiss the many simple ways of proving the contrary. Now they are just depressing, and it feels like there's a new one every other day.

  • Someone wrote to me, asking me to forbid discussion of Flat Earth on CathInfo.

    My response:

I see no reason to forbid discussion of the flat earth vs. globe earth debate.

I haven't been to space personally, so how can I say I know for sure which is the truth?

It's better -- and wiser -- to question everything, rather than take things on human faith. Unless we're talking about matters of Faith, which the Holy Catholic Church teaches.

I'll take God's word for it. Like the witty saying goes: "In God we Trust. All others pay cash."

I question everything: government, the banking system, the h0Ɩ0cαųst, the U.N., vaccines, anything the Liberals take as gospel, Big Pharma, Agri-business, and countless other things. We've been lied to in so many ways, who's to say where the lies end?

With that having been said, the outnumbered proponents of the "flat earth" side of the debate will PLEASE REFRAIN from calling their opponents non-Catholic.

But on the other hand, those on the "globe earth" side, with the Modern World behind them comfortably, will please refrain from calling the other side names. Why are you so upset anyhow? Do you realize how bad it looks when you get all bent out of shape about it? Practically the whole Western world is behind you. Does it bother you when they utter such compelling arguments or something?

CathInfo is a haven for truth seekers on all topics. Everything not already defined by the Church is fair game for discussion here.

I'm not going to ban discussion of a topic, like Fisheaters did with "cօռspιʀαcιҽs" and "sedevacantism" in 2006. Guess what? That's why I started CathInfo in the first place. (Fun fact: I was still a member of Fisheaters for the first 9 months of CathInfo's existence. I only stopped going to FE when I was banned for stepping on the emotions/toes of a female member. And we all know what a feminist matriarchy FE is.)

P.S. The Catholic Church hasn't anathematized either side. So neither will any of you!

I'm not upset. But anyway and if you don't mind me asking, what do you think would happen if tomorrow 12/23/16, 85% of the world would wake up believing that the world was flat?

Who knows? Who cares? The truth is the truth. This board is for us to discuss and find that truth.

I also operate on the premise that it is ALWAYS better for each and every person to know the truth, in every imaginable case. Even if the world completely collapsed because of the truth, then the world was built on a lie. Good riddance! Something better will take its place.

No one gets to impose their opinion on everyone else.

Among the membership of CathInfo, we have one bishop, maybe a few priests, but the vast majority are MERE LAYMEN.

And even including the handful of clerics, none of them are receiving locutions from Heaven, and none of them is the Pope.

Let's keep that in mind as we discuss.

Flat earth is not a belief. Belief is when you cannot see something.

The flat earth you can see, and prove, scientifically.
Refusing to look at the information and proofs provided is your problem not ours.

So it doesn't matter whether muslims or any other religion accept the earth to be flat.

You need to do some research and reflection before attacking.

    See:

Answer my question first and then we might have something to talk about.

Ok I'll keep that in mind.

Thing is, I didn't ask you what would happen.

I asked what do you think would happen.

So you don't know and you don't care. And I don't have a problem with that.

But in my opinion everyone should be given the chance to answer.

And I say that because I noticed some of my posts had been erased.

    So just let people answer.

With all that imagination someone should be able to produce something.

Because isn't that what they are trying to do anyway. Convince everyone?

Yes, I erased about 5 of your posts, which were a spam-repeat of the same sentence.
You sound like a broken record.

I can and will remove such fluff from my forum. I don't need 10 pages of posts, most of which is the same stupid post over and over and over...

The bishop's username was mentioned in the recent "Eleison Comments" thread.

As for priests, I know that several have come and gone over the years. Since priests are more common than bishops, it's likely that there are several, especially if you count guest lurkers, logged-in lurkers, rare posters, those keeping a low profile, and those who haven't posted for a long time. And some priests use a layman (or laymen) as a proxy to keep up with what's going on here on CathInfo.

It's normally just more effective that way because as the user above has just reminded the audience, if it's not personal "they wouldn't even remember".

But I get it. It's your world.

Let me put it this way, if by December 24 2016, Eighty Five percent (85%) of the population on this planet woke up believing that the world was flat.... you know what, I will give you the benefit of the doubt... imagine they woke up knowing that the world is flat, as you know that it is flat, would they:

    A) Demand real pictures from space

    B) Demand a flat earth map

    C) Convert to Catholicism and join the resistance

And can every flat weather in reply so Mathew doesn't have to undergo the excruciating task of deleting my posts.

    Ok, I'll play...

    A. There is no "space" as you think of it, or as the religion of scientism has taught you. It is not a place that can be "gone to" in any sense other than with high altitude balloons or aircraft. The pictures from these show the flat plane of the earth without any curvature whatsoever, so we do have real pictures.

    B. The maps are indeed controversial of every type and variety. NASA has an intelligence group devoted entirely to mapping alone. Why do you think that is? Shouldn't they, if you believe them and their scientism religion, have that topic all sorted out by now? So, why are they so concerned with mapping, hmmm? And the acronym for this entity is GES-DISC. Isn't that funny? NASA has a sense of humor. They called their agency what the earth actually is - a disc.

    C. Indeed, if the earth was suddenly revealed to be flat and the masses were told of such an enormous and diabolical deception, perhaps it would cause a return of souls to God and His True Church. Who knows?
