There’s more than one false dichotomy at work here.
It’s not just just “flat geocentrism” versus “spherical heliocentrism” but also “motionless geocentrism” versus “dynamic heliocentrism” and, further, one physicalist model of the cosmos versus another physicalist model of the cosmos.
And even if the Earth were the geometric centre of the physical cosmos, this is still a fact:
The incarnate Logos, not the Earth, is the absolute centre of the order of created things, and that order extends far beyond the naive notion of balls or disks of rock sitting or moving in an empty space.
The celestial spheres of ancient cosmology are not a form of primitive astronomy any more than the Magnum Opus of alchemy was about turning physical lead into physical gold in a form of primitive chemistry. Idiocy!
Believing earth is a globe demonstrates the mind's tendency to relativity, obfuscation and lies. "Believers" are naturally drawn to inaccuracies and falsehoods and refuse to abandon their bent notions. Globalists are purveyors of relativism. They base things and grade on, the curve. They place pagan science opinion over the Church Father's opinions. They place pagan scientism over Scripture, saying that the pagans have better knowledge about God's things than God does. Devoid of shame they insist that "level" means "curve". That the horizon isn't actually horizontal, but that the horizon, is the arc of a sphere! That the surface of water is curved, just not in lakes, pools, ponds or puddles. They say the "round" earth only seems "flat". Their proof? CGI, their favorite visual whopper. Most globalists believe NASA went to the moon and sent back photos of the ball, (or pear, or oblate spheroid) or whatever shape they want to believe about the earth at that moment. As long as it isn't flat. Just like the Protestants, anything but what's true is fine. Naturally. Spherical earth gives them freedom of mind to believe whatever. These people enjoy pretending that Scripture's four
corners are actually four
directions. They say there is no firmament as Scripture says, but rather infinite space, like Scripture doesn't say. They nurse on logical fallacies which say earth has no foundation, just hangs suspended in space, so its Scripture that is not scientifically accurate. They redefine "up" to mean "out". They believe "down" means "down" only until half way through the globe when it actually switches to "up". Why not? It's always after meeting up with the devil that "down" actually means "up." The twisted globular mindset is nearly impossible to reason with because those who cling to it, just spread out fig leaves to cover their purposely naked and foolish minds.
