I remember reading in the book Revolution and Counter-Revolution by Plinio Correa de Oliveira that the world’s descent into madness was brought about by the arts, and so we need to counteract it through the arts.

I’m a member of the Society of Classical Poets, and some of us write poetry to do exactly this.  I’m not writing this to hawk our poetry (that’s just a bonus!  ), but to encourage everyone here to work to make any changes we can through the arts.  Choose an art form you’re good at or want to be good at, and then use it to influence people’s thinking.  It doesn’t have to be poetry; that’s just the one where I’m the most successful.  Fiction, painting, photography, sculpture… whatever you can use most effectively to get your message across.

I think you’ll like our work and will be encouraged to do something.  My work is already helping a young mom as she struggles with God opening her heart to be open to life.
