This was posted in the Admin area of a FB group I administrate.

So I have a bunch of "naughty kids" in my group -- they were MEMBERS of naughty groups and/or they were naughty themselves -- so now I have to pre-approve all posts in MY group before they become visible to ANYONE.

Why is anyone still on FB?

The only reason I ever opened a personal FB page is that one employer I temporarily worked for (an independent) required me to have a page.  This person is obsessed with social media, then and now.  She even told me so when interviewing me, which should have been a big clue to why she and I would never get along (and which we didn't).  My stupid personal page is still up there, and I never, ever contribute to it. The only people who post on it are others, the vast majority of whom I don't even know, and most of whom are extreme Lefties.  One of these days I'll get around to taking it down.

I think there are a lot of FB "users" like me:  In some cases (unlike me), they actually wanted to open a page, but eventually got tired of has-been FB and all the commercial nonsense/exploitation associated with it, even without the totalitarian politics.  So what they did was leave a largely unused page in circulation. In fact, the only people I know who still actively use their accounts are extreme Lefties (as I said above). These people are very politically active (several in my own birth family, for example).  For them, FB and all social media is their Bible.  That is, what they post is "Truth," absolutely.  It's an illusion that it's Truth because there is zero disagreement.  Everyone who comes to their page "believes" as they do, and thus naturally all of the posts are "absolute Truth."

I don’t use FB, but what would happen if a boat load of people created a huge numbers of accounts with pseudonyms? Wouldn’t that put a monkey wrench in Zuck’s plans? 

How do you check if you have a fb page, like, was set up against my will by former employer who used it to spy on people.  I haven’t worked there for six years and never once even looked at it, much less put anything on it.  If it has a password I’d have no idea of what it would be.  My former boss required everyone’s password as a condition of employment.  (I think this is now illegal?  If not, it ought to be!). I had no fb or anything like that to give her, so she made one for me.  
If I DO have one, how do I delete it?  
I’ve decided giving out private info. not job related is a deal breaker so far as an employer is concerned.

To get narcissistic supply. Narcissists and/or people with no real lives are still on FB.

It's no longer a medium to exchange "truther" info and wake people up. It hasn't been for a long time due to the censoring. Plus, it always data-mined everything posted there. The people who remain on there simply have no lives.
