Here is my first in a series of the "great accomplishments" of the Republican Party...or is it more like the "great stupidity" but than again what can you expect from a party that follows the "bottom line" and supports Wall Street and corporate interests and libertarian ideology.

You know back in 1999 family farms all across America were already on the verge of bankruptcy because of massive corporations drowning out family farms, the massive crop imports from NAFTA, MFN, WTO, etc., the taxpayer bailouts of foreign regimes under the IMF and World Bank, the capital gains and inheritance taxes, the confiscation of private property under the federal government, closing foreign markets to food because of embargos and sanctions, etc.

Now to Washington D.C. and Wall Street this was good news for finally we can have farmers put into an assembly line of industrialization and farms can become like factories!

Now this had already happened under the so-called GOP "Contract with America" but to add further insult to the wound when the Clinton presidency was over the GOP yet again supported their doctrine of free trade under George W. Bush and the rest of the Republican Party, which by the way lead to a loss of 2.5 million manufactoring jobs, and yet again supported Corporate Street. Let me tell you I was just out in the rural community of South Carolina where some of my Southern relatives were and they mentioned having to sell their family farms because of these corporate farms that drown them out and the massive amount of foreign crop imports coming in.

Of course this made no difference to a Republican Party who only cares about their coffers being filled up by the billions of dollars from Wall Street.
