Fake Georgia Snow

Snow that doesn't melt, but turns black when heat is applied! Oh, and the lady said that recently LOTS of chemtrail activity was seen in her skies.

That is MESSED UP!

I sincerely hope you are being sarcastic.

A Snowball is a poreous material, with lots of air gaps. When you heat it a bit like they do, whatever little amount of it melts is absorbed by the rest of the snowball due to surface tension, and diffuses into it much like a sugar cube absorbs coffee and you'll eventually get water dripping out ONLY once it is entirely saturated with liquid water. with a more powefull torch you get this phenomenon to but also sublimation.

As for the smell and soot, you'll get it on a spoon or piece of glass too, it's just the result of incomplete combustion of flammablegas.

If you were serious, then don't be so gullible and stupid and try to understand basic science a bit.

The real conspiracy is that your basic American citizen lacks even fundamental education. The video has 150,000 hits after a day and thousands of other morons are trying to melt snowballs, instead of doing something productive, then spreading this kind of conspiracy bull which dilutes and distracts from the serious things that are going on.

Meanwhile the richest people in America continue to line their pockets with the money of the poorest, as the idiot poor are melting snow with lighters to test their childish pseudo science.

Negros all over America should be ashamed of their lack of intelligence, as should any fool of any colour who was taken in by this video. Until people get some smarts they will always be slaves to the rich and intelligent. And it is not like a free education is not available. The Internet is a near free library about every subject in the world.

Google should require people to pass an intelligence test before they are allowed to upload videos.

It was mentioned in an another you tube on this subject that there was
heavy chemtrails over Atlanta, GA before the snow.
This proves that there is something that is not good that that is being
dumped in the atmosphere. It will interesting of the after effects when
this snow melts, and what it would leave behind that will be a danger to
animal and human health.

It is a fact that 'they' are modifying the weather. But that fake snow stunt following sightings of chemtrails was just that - a stunt.

I was public schooled in America, you'll have to forgive me for some huge gaps in my science knowledge.

But yes, they got me on this one. It was pretty convincing.

And Thorn, will you shut up about PenitentWoman? You (and a couple others) treated her *very* uncharitably for someone sincere and new to Tradition. Your behavior towards her was quite uncalled-for.

She didn't know what a den of lions she was walking into, coming here.

We could at least treat people with Catholic charity, which we're all supposed to have.

I'm reminded of the recent thread about Trads and Newcomers. I guess we have some of those cliquish types here on CathInfo.

Some people just aren't happy unless there's trouble, or some kind of scandal to click their tongue at. And if there isn't anything to complain about, they make something up! It's like they're desperate for strife and trouble. Such people are called "troublemakers", and are the bane of the social world.

What ggreg said. You can't put flame to snow and expect a puddle of water. One would have to put it in a container and let it sit on the counter to get that. Or melt it in your hands/mouth.

(Don't eat yellow snow :wink:)

Loose snow will melt in your hands but a compacted ball of snow like in the videos will only melt into a ball of harder snow/ice because your hands don't carry enough heat to melt it all the way. It will melt into itself just enough to make a harder snow/iceball.

The black is carbon (I think? I'm not strong in science) but the same happens when you put a flame to glass. Whatever it is, the black is leftover from the flame, it isn't something inherent in the snow.

The plastic stink is the only one that I would be interested to smell for myself. I think of all the manufacturing plants and gunk we have going up into the atmosphere and I can't help but believe snow would catch some stink on the way down. Isn't our rainwater contaminated too? But then again, it may be leftover from the flame too. I don't know, I've never thought to try and melt snow that way lol.

I got the majority of my thumbs down on this thread.

I still believe that the chemtrailing that I see every blue sky
day is partly responsible of the altering the weather patterns that is
partly responsible for the freezing weather this winter.
Even thought I am no expert. Depending on trustworthy sources.

Well plastic is not aluminium and aluminium is not plastic. One is a metal and the other is made from hydrocarbons. So which is it, plastic, or aluminium or something?

The smell is probably from impurities in the gas or aerosol propellant they have just burned, inefficiently, and left deposits of on the face of the snowball. But it might also be from whatever they have been touching prior to picking up the snow or from pollution in the atmosphere which the snow collects when it forms, though frankly the amount of that on a couple of square inches of snowball would be tiny. Remember that snow, being a crystal has an extraordinarily high surface area. Did they smell an unburned snowball?

No they didn't. Because that would be something an intelligent person would do.

What makes me laugh about idiots that cannot rationally think through this nonsense is it is junior high school science. Surely you learned about capillary action, at school. Surely you have dipped the corner of a sugar cube into tea or coffee and watched the liquid rise 2cms above the surface of the drink. What do you think makes the tea or coffee rise up the sugar cube against the force of gravity? Satan? Feminism?

Even if you goofed off in science lessons, surely you know that snow melts. So snow that apparently does not melt under the heat of a lighter cannot mean that it would not melt at all, or it would still be there lying on the ground in July. There MUST be another reason it is not melting. The first conclusion one jumps to should not be that there is a government conspiracy to drop non-melting snow over half a million square miles of North America.

Thinking like that means that your brain is broken. You have not merely got no understanding of basic high school science you don't even know how to think straight and rationalise the most likely explanations.

And yet such people believe themselves qualified to postulate that the Apollo Astronauts did not go to the moon or that the sun and the galaxy of stars revolves around the earth.

Guess I'll have to watch that You tube thing again. I just thought that it was a matter of sleight of hand and it wasn't even a snowball that she held in her hand in the house. It's funny what some people are willing to believe!
