  • That seems to already be old hat here in 'Straya.
To despise the people and love the money is how to be somebody these days.

  • It would be comparatively easy for us to be holy if only we could always see the character of our neighbours either in soft shade or with the kindly deceits of moonlight upon them. Of course, we are not to grow blind to evil

  • It all comes down to a violation of Genesis, in which God places mankind in dominion over all, and a fulfillment of Revelation, in which humans return to the status of prey.

Everyone has known about the "Gaia" religion for years. No one realized how powerful it would become in worldy politics. Ironically, places where Gaians rule will likely become the most envrionmentally toxic because they are more anti-scientific than even the most extreme Christian fundamentalists.

PETA, along with their fellow travelers, are an occasion of sin for me. Ever since they attacked five-year-old girls and their mothers at a Boston ballet recital and then after they stole pets from Katrina survivors, they arouse anger in me to a passion.

No, Jesus put an end to that problem, we're just mopping up.    :incense:

But the Gaians do return us to a lower order in the natural food chain, making us prey to wild animals.

for example, animals know the smell of gun-metal, and this is why hunters often fail to see deer where they've seen them all year when simply hiking unarmed.   :good-shot: But with the pressure against carrying guns and the anthropomorphic foolishness of protecting animals instead of protecting children, letting them forage in back yards, etc, we now see animals regularly attacking people where they once avoided people.

It is not just a resurgence of the animal population or an invasion by suburban sprawl. At one time, an animal was sure to see a human and smell a gun if the animal went into a back yard, and the animal would quickly learn to avoid back yards. But now the animal only sees humans with no dangerous gun-smell run into the house and hide until rescuers come who tranquilize the beast.

When the beast wakes up some miles away, it no longer associates the smell of all humans with guns or guns with death.

  • The Gaians are just rabbel. They just appear to be a threat because they are given the spotlight by the media and legislators. The rulers need an excuse to pass their tax levies and economic tranquilizers and these uneducated morons are the perfect patsies. If they were sincere about their beliefs they would have done away with GMO seeds, pesticides, incentives for farmers to NOT GROW ANYTHING, petro-fuels, etc. People like Al Gore are all investors (if not owners) of petroleum companies.

  • You know what would really break the back of a good number of these people? It would be a large number of ethanol producers setting up shop nationwide on the local level. With all the corn dumped in rivers and all the food scraps that get thrown away we could make more than enough fuel for the whole nation and still have feed to give to livestock or organic matter to put into the soil which would be used to grow more feedstock for ethanol. It's not the best fuel, and it's not as efficient, but it's something that could be produced at home cheaply if ever the oil supply was shut off, and believe me, it will. All you would need is a tune up on your car and the replacement of a few parts. Nobody would be buying oil and they will see their profits and war money slowly get depleted.

This kind of personal withdrawal from the global machine makes more sense than anything else.

I wouldnt say it's withdrawal. It's becoming SELF-SUFFICIENT. If you rely on your own production skills (or those of your neighbors) to meet your needs you dont need to lean on your enemy to support you.

Again, we dont have much of a choice. We have to switch to a Distributist economic model because it makes no sense to be importing supplies from the other side of the country when the majority (if not all) of those goods can be produced in the home state and the money get's sucked out of the local economy as a consequence.

  •   Eco fans have a great love of eastern religions like Zorosteranism and Buddhism, the former actually believes puliting of nature to be a sin. They have also a hatred for Abrahamic religions because they teach that man is superior to envirnoment and that nature is his servent.
