  •   How's this for an acronym for a new Catholic resistance movement:

     Society of Invincible and Ignore No More Catholics.  (I sort of borrowed that from Mr. Infallible himself, Pope Pius IX.)

       Just a bunch of average people, (some on this board would say stupid commies)  who believe the real Catholic Reformation should occur now in the 21st century. We need a faith for average people, not employment for Canon lawyers and other law firms to protect pedophile priests and bishops. I say pull the financial plug on the Ratzinger regime, sell everything, and tell them to get day jobs.

        I think Bible based Catholicism is a great thing, but run amok "post 1870 infallible human imperialism" is a horrible disaster.  I would hope people would get together in their own homes and facilities, and try to carry on the work preserving Christian Faith and culture.

        God bless those fighters at the SSPX. Hopefully they will realize that "infallibility and Fatima" were bad calls. Please pray that we have a Christian holding the chair of Peter in the near future.

  • Are you an Old Catholic? (For those of you unfamiliar with the Old Catholics -- they went into Schism after Vatican Council I)

    I didn't know that.

    If so, I must tell you that the official position of Cathinfo is that Fatima was an approved, important apparition whose message has not yet been heeded by the vast majority (including the most important players -- the Pope and the bishops of the world)

    And Vatican I was a good, valid, binding council which proclaimed Catholic doctrine (as all important councils have done in the past) -- including the infallibility of the Pope.

  •  Here is some more help for the Catholic Resistance movement. Its long overdue (137 years since Vatican Council)  for the Laity to hold Church leadership accountable! Strange how the elitists of the Church speak the same language as the elitists who form the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr cabal.

  • What would your "faith for average people" look like?  We have some pretty good options here in the "Bible Belt" that seem to fit your parameters:

    1) No praying to Mary (in fact they call us Catholics Mary-worshippers, like you have, in so many words, elsewhere on this forum);
    2) No "Club Infallible" (in fact they, like you, equate the Pope with the "beast" and assert that he believes himself to be a god--sounding good to you, huh?);
    3) No Rosaries;
    4) Authority = 100% Bible and absolutely noting else (sola Scriptura--you should see some of the consequences of this one--a church will have a big fight within--they group off and dig in--next thing you know one church has turned in to 3 or 4, and a few years later, you inevitably get the same thing again--it looks lke they're hung up on and misinterpretting "go forth and multiply"-- but who am I to judge, after all, I turn to "men in dresses" and "Club Infallible" (one phrase you may not have heard before but will need to get accustomed to) for guidance on Scripture);
    5) Apostolic chain - why who cares about that?

    Of course, they wouldn't like you calling yourself Catholic anymore -- that wouldn't be much of an impediment to you, would it?!?  And they probably wouldn't like it very much if your ever dropped your anti-Catholic rhetoric - still no problem, though, right?

    Come on down, if you're not already down here as I suspect, and I'll show you around.  You'll need several days though, because Ill be showing you a few hundred "churches," all Bible-believing, no less!

    2 comments: The Bible itself does not contain all of Christian revelation.  Christ never intended this.  While the Bible is the chief source of Revelation, it is not the only source, nor the original source.  People getting together in their homes to study and discuss the Bible should be of grave concern not imperative need.  Personal interpretations of Scripture have led many into heresy.  As such, as lay Catholics we are under no obligation to read the Bible.  It does help in understanding Christianity, however, and increase spiritual awareness.  We are also granted indulgences.  The Bible should be read properly, with a correct version and a proper commentary and with the proper intent--to learn and increase our understanding.

    Regarding Fatima:  I find it really incredibly how so many Catholics are quite certain that the apparitions are questionable and that Our Lady's message is not to be heeded.  I'm not a Fatima expert by no means, but from what I have read and understood, there doesn't seem to be any doctrinal errors per se.  Now there may be things that Our Lady said that have not come to pass as of yet, but certainly her instructions have not been followed completely.

    Now I am fairly new to "traditional" Catholicism.  But I have made quite a few observations about Modern Caths vs. Traditional Caths.

    1) Modern Catholics love to read the Bible and have Bible studies.  I've been to some of these, and as a former Protestant, I can contest that they are full of erroneous information.  There is a real attempt to have Catholics believe that everything in the Bible is figuratively true even when some Scripture only can be understood in a spiritual sense.

    2) Modern Catholics could care less which version of the Bible they read and many have never heard of Douay Rheims.

    3)Modern Catholic sermons are filled with "discussion" of the Scripture but have little content regarding the lives and writings of the Saints or Our Lady.

    4) Modern Catholics might say the Rosary, but that is about as much Mary as they can handle.  They are totally ignorant regarding apparitions, what the Sts. have to say about Mary, and even what the Church really teaches.

    I have been attending SSPX for 5 months now.  In that time I have learned more about the Saints (some I've NEVER heard of), their lives, Mary, prayers, and Church history than I ever learned in 15 years as a convert from Protestantism.

    I've been a part of both worlds and Modern Catholicism is about 1/2 step away from the United Methodist Church in her mannerisms, speech, attitudes, and doctrine.  The worst part----"cradle" Catholics have NO clue because most have never been to a Protestant church in their lives.  They are like sheep being led to the slaughter....

  •  In the final judgment, Christ is going to say : get away, I never knew you. Seriously, I think we all need to do a lot more than faith painted by Roman numerals in order to avoid that judgment.

      In honor of Jesus Christ, I would say that after the 1986 Assisi Paganfest : Get away, I don't want to know or be with you apostates. Sorry I don't have all the answers,  but that would be a start. Sorry to upset your fairy tale world. Ahhh , the joys of the autopilot life where life is beautiful all the time.
