  •   There is sth with feminism which I hate very much. And it is that although their motto is freedom, they are actually forcing us to be free.
What is freedom? Isn't it about being able to choose? And what if I choose obedience? What if I really want the female passivity? Are they going to force me to be free and in control against my own will???

  • Just like the unjustly maligned Dorothy Dday denounced many of the evils she engaged in prior to her conversion (free sex, birth control, abortion, etc)

  • In this country, especially with war time and baby boomers, they have been sold a bill of goods by judas goats like Bill Buckley, et all on several lies that were rejected by early Catholics, esp in Europe. They belevie in the Prot/Calvinist "capitalism", Americanism and its ugly cousin, Neoconservatism.....

Hence D-Day becomes a pariah for them, as she was into bringing Christ to the poor and oppressed by example. She should have to them called for bombing nations, spending and making big bucks, soaking the poor and blaming them for poverty...also, day ddi criticize the USA and its Govt at times, so she is turned into a "commie liberal pinko".......my Dad for one despises her......

Bill Kaufman has a good article on her:

    http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0GER/is_2000_Summer/ai_63500751/

In USA, when one cannot intelligently talk or debate, they malign....FE is good example, Stevus can tell you bucho's more than I can about them.....all I can say, read the article, go to Catholic Worker site and read her acrticles-then see who was more Christlike, her or Buckley/Neocons.....

  • I think that many people think that if you oppose capitalism you must be a communist or socialist. To my way of thinking, you can´t be a Christian and endorse capitalism. Catholicism is anti-capitalism. All three - capitalism, socialism, and communism - mean dependency and waste. All three systems mean a waste of human potential and slavery - to profit or to the state. Distributism - I believe - means independence and not being fobbed off with empty and meaningless acquistiveness. And this farcical thing they call democracy. Endlessly going round in a treadmill, your whole life lived in a lie of emptiness.

  • Thank you!

But I didn´t think it was all that profound. It seems common sense for Christians not to support a system which uses people and the world´s resources to create piles of unnecessary trash and which actually creates poverty, whilst others pile up meaningless goods and riches. Besides it is TOTALLY immoral and unchristian to pile up more goods and money than you need to have a decent, comfortable life whilst others are suffering want.
Condemning people to meaningless, monotonous work and or unemployment and not enabling them to develop their God-given talents is a rotten system. There is enough land in every country for everybody to be self-supporting, for the community to support craftsmen and artists too - instead we have lots of people condemned to live on welfare and called scroungers and others dying of over-eating! This crazy system creates divisions, and dependency, dependency and more dependency and makes the state and its bureaucracy more and more powerful!  In this respect socialism, communism and capitalism are identical! Madness!!!!!!

    Are you serious?

Surely the good of the community must come before the freedom of the market?

Surely also greed and even certain types of ambition can be consider contarary to Christianity?

The libertarian dream of early to mid 19 th century England was almost hell on earth for so many of its inhabitants.
