I find this post amusing in it's persistence of keeping certain theories alive by spinning the words of Zawahiri to that effect.

I can understand that most people at a glance cannot discern the meaning of those messages, and to whom they are addressed and what they seek to achieve.  But a casual observer would  immediately recognize that these messages are not widely diffused (if at all) and only available through efforts of dedicated individuals who prepares the translation and share them.  

That message was not meant for Westerners and very few, I am confident went through the exercise of listening the lengthy 2 hours tape.  It was one of the messages aimed at the base... Sunni Arabs.
