Democracy=mob rule

not a good idea.

Republic, somewhat better, still not always great (see USA)

Monarcy=could be good or bad, depending on monarch and extent of powers...

ultimately, people=fallen nature, transcends to every day living and hence, our mess we are in.

God=perfection, no contradictions, all powerful, all just and all merciful...

Dante and many others believe that adultery is the least of sins as it is caused by love.

Well he still put adulterers in hell... Where did he say it was caused by love?  I think he implies it is caused by weakness of the flesh, and that weakness is not as bad as aggressive evil.

But yes, he puts those damned for lust in the Second Circle of Hell, a relatively light punishment.  Is lust really better than gluttony?  Come on.  Lust and adultery destroy homes, break hearts, how can it be worse to be gluttonous or angry?  If I had written the Inferno, Lust would have been the Fourth Circle, right above Greed, since greed is more destructive than lust ultimately. But then in my Inferno heresy would have been the ninth circle, not the sixth, if by heresy we mean sins against the First Commandment.

Dante appears to have been more political than spiritual in nature.  For him the worst sins are treachery and fraud -- political sins.  He is easygoing about lust because, after all, this is a man who openly loved one woman, Beatrice, while married to another.  Not very sensitive to his wife's feelings, I'd say.

It is because today we have a mass media culture
in which the vast majority thinking are mind
controlled what ever comes through the TV, the
Movies, radio, newspapers, and publications, and even
the internet. The control is so strong that unless
you conformed, it would affect your job, your
reputation, and your family.
We are being lied to in such as mass scale that it
has now become the truth, just to survive.
A small group of men that are wealthy, that are
mostly attached to a religion that practices the
worse types of racism, and get away with it in
plain sight. Such as the unjust treatment of the
Gazans, and the Palestinians, and the majority of
Christians either do not care, or applaud such
actions.
The problem today, independent thinking people
hardly exists because of the imposition of
political correctness which is pure Marxism.

When Whites have identity it is called racism.

If being Hispanic makes me a racist, tattoo it on me any day!

If God didn't want us to be different races, He wouldn't have created the races in the first place!

And God cannot change His mind. Trying to melt all peoples and races into one big mess clearly isn't God's will.

Identity is one of God's most basic gifts to us, which all men have a natural right to.

There are 4 kinds of identity: Nationality, race, gender, and religion.

I'm happy to be a man, proud to be Roman Catholic, happy to be of Irish/German descent, and I think I'll be living in America for better or worse. (I'm not pleased with what my country is doing, but I don't see myself wanting to live anywhere else. The whole world is messed up right now)

Actually, I've more or less transferred that natural "love of country" to love of Texas. I guess I consider myself a citizen of the Republic of Texas :cowboy: The South will rise again!
