There is a rock song, "Hotel California", whenever I hear it it makes me uneasy. I'm almost certain that this is a demonic song. Does anyone know what the lyrics mean?

I read in a reliable mainstream source that they were involved with Anton La Vey's "Church of Satan" at the time and that they lyrics actually do have "demonic" references. Do yourself a favour and stay away from rock and pop music.

Interestingly enough "Church of Satan" leading members such as Boyd Rice are very influential behind the scenes of of the "White Nationalist" movement and groups such as "American Reinassance" in which some psuedo-Christian traditionalists are also involved in.

The song is obviously about some demonic shenanigans, but read the last verse:

It's hardly a selling point! I mean, who's going to hear that verse and still want to go to the "Hotel California"?

Almost all rock songs are channeled by the devil and are written in a sort of code. It's not a code that is worth interpreting though -- we're talking about the devil. He's a liar.

That makes sense.

The song is more of a warning about than an exaltation of decadence, it seems to me.

Like "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Rolling Stones. I have never come away from that song feeling any sympathy for him, and I can't imagine many people have either.

I've never seen problems with the song. I always figured it to be a simple ghost story, but I can see how it would refer to the imprisoning nature of the higher end of life.

There are a couple of exceptions but I mostly stay away from R Stones. The album Satanic Majesties Request is kind of a hint as to why.

Stairway To Heaven is based on the chord sequence to the TV show Gilligan's Island. I heard J Page sing the demo once b4 Plant added the lyrics and he was using the words-- '3 hour tour-- 3 hour tour' b4 he launched into the infamous guitar solo.

I stay away from that head banging band as well.

I found this a t Newsmax. Beginning with Revlover, my interest in the Beatles drops off sharply-- this really is the beginning of the hippy period. It figures that the v2 'Church' would be fond of the work

Scroll down on this wikipedia page and you will hear an excerpt from a 1969 song by the band Spirit which sounds exactly like the intro to "Stairway to Heaven," which came out two years later. Led Zeppelin opened for Spirit on their first American tour. What a coincidence. I know Zeppelin had to pay out at least twice in the past to settle plagiarism cases.

".....One of the top songs of the 70's was "Hotel California" by the Eagles. Most people have no idea the song refers to the Church of Satan, which happens to be located in a converted HOTEL on CALIFORNIA street! Some of the lyrics: "And in the master's chambers, They are gathered for the feast, They stab it with their steely knives, but they just can't kill the beast." Inside the album, looking down on the festivities, is none other than Anton Lavey, the founder of the Church of Satan and author of the Satanic Bible! The Eagles manager, Larry Salter, admitted in the Waco Tribune-Herald, (Feb. 28, 1982) that the Eagles were involved with the Church of Satan! Not surprisingly, one of the Eagles's songs is titled "Have A Good Day in Hell."{ and of corse... album title Hell frezze Over}..."

"On the inside cover of the album you will see a party scene. Towards the top of the picture there are 3 windows; Lavey is in the middle window. "

"I've also heard it played backwards, and it DOES say, "Satan organized his own religion". At one point the singer asks for wine. The response he gets is, "We haven't had that spirit here since 1969". Wine is a symbol of the blood of Christ; 1969 was the year the satanic bible was released."
