Are there any traditional convents who take older women? If not convents are there any other options for women who say are just in their 50's or 60's but are widowed and want to lead a religious life in common?
The only convent that I know of that accepts late vocations is one under the CMRI in Rathrrum, Idaho, near Post Falls.
I do not remember the name of their order, they are not CMRI sisters, but their order is under the guidance and support of CMRI. The Superior's name is Mother Mary Fatima.
If you would want to get in touch with her, I would suggest contacting the Church in Rathdrum: http://www.cmri.org/latin-mass-directory/traditional-latin-mass-locations-2.shtml#IDAHO
