  • The description of this category in CathInfo reads: "Catholics resisting errors, cօռspιʀαcιҽs (Liberalism, Zionism, Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ, ʝʊdɛօ-Masonry, Communism, Modernism) and evil men who conspire against mankind (Neo-cons, Bilderburgers, nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr, Big Pharma, Media, Globalists, Bankers, etc.)"  What follows I think is quite apropos -- either directly or indirectly -- to every aspect of that description.

I'd like to recommend some really great Catholic Action, although it may not be for the faint of heart.  On the other hand, if you are faint of heart and wish to overcome such temperament this may be just what the doctor ordered.  As the subject line states, this Catholic Action is both constructive and destructive.

If you live in a heavily populated area in the U.S., or sometimes even in a semi-heavily populated area, you no doubt have boxes of free newspapers in various outdoor spots readily accessible to the public.  Many of these boxes contain papers which are inherently evil.  They regularly -- by their articles and their ads -- attack not only the Catholic Christian order, but the natural law itself.  They do this in a seemingly endless number of ways from the subtle to the most blatant.

They run the gambit of philosophical attacks to outright written and graphic pornography.  Also, the imagery is sometimes extremely blasphemous.

When I lived in Phoenix, for example, I saw some of these papers regularly carry ads which contained exact images of Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Jude, or even the crucifix.  The holy images were used to promote businesses which could be that of Santeria, fortune telling, or just plain out and out witchcraft.  On the same page and or adjoining page of such ads could often be found images of naked or semi-naked women in a provocative poses.  The naked imagery would be promoting some sɛҳuąƖ/pornographic product or sɛҳuąƖ service.

In addition to the trash "news" papers described above a good number of your larger metropolitan areas will have -- unless the Internet has taken the profit out of such ventures --  boxes of free papers serving up nothing, but heterosɛҳuąƖ, ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ and whatever else kind of pornography you could imagine.

When I lived in Phoenix and later one of its suburbs I would often pull into a strip mall -- they are all over the place -- and just walk up to these newspaper boxes, open them up, grab the whole stash of 50, 100, or however many papers were in the box, and walk very matter of fact back to my vehicle, deposit them in the back, and calmly drive off.  No one ever hassled me -- not ever, not once, although I made sure to do it only in front of such businesses where I didn't think I could be easily seen by a proprietor looking out the front window.  The "easiest pickings" were on the street corners where I could swing up close to the box with my vehicle.  (One day I literally drove up to one of these strip malls just as a guy with a pick-up was finishing his business of loading the last of these boxes up.  Just as he left I got out and did my clean-up operation!)  During my relatively short time of residence in Phoenix I must have collected many thousands, perhaps tens of thousands of these vile newspapers.  Since they were free I never once violated the 7th Commandment nor did I ever even commit a criminal infraction of any kind.

Once you have the papers you can drop them in charitable newspaper bins where they will be sold for scrap.  On the other hand, you can sell them yourself.  (1 Timothy 5:18  "The laborer is worthy of his reward.")

What I have described above is obviously not your typical Catholic Action, but you may rest quite assured that it is 100% Action and it is 100% Catholic.  AMDG

Yes, exactly!  In a way I would say it's sort of the leader of the trash pack; very, very bad.  (As an aside, this was the same publication that had the story about Pablo the Mexican, a story which in some ways you could say was even complimentary about him!  I know.  Go figure!)

Even the student newspaper (when I was there, anyway) for Arizona State was very bad.  I remember one time it put a big cartoon picture of a chocolate crucifix in the paper with the mocking caption: "Sweet Jesus."  Unfortunately, that was about par I would say for that paper.

  • In my old neck of the woods, the only "free" papers were the Fish Wrapper and the Shopping News, publications which would put the local edition of Pravda in every major city to shame.  If a picture of a scantily clad female were found anywhere on the premises the proprietor would be knocked into a bloody pulp by Amish bishops wielding their Bibles.
As for "Catholic Action" though, forget it.  Sorry to see there are still fans of the Pope of Catholic Inaction (a k a Pius XI) out there.  The best Catholic Action is A) Spreading the message of Fatima (Too bad Pius XI didn't do more of that), B) Exposing communists, cօռspιʀαcιҽs, chemtrails and con-artists by pointing out indisputable facts. and C) Expounding on the wonders of the Immaculate Heart.  I was in the "pro-life" movement for years, and saw the activists succuмb to compromise after compromise.  Political activists eventually fall to the temptation of wanting "results".  The enemy knows this.  Once he lures them onto his territory, it is only a matter of time before they step into a bear trap.  Stay away from the political rallies or the voting booth.  Any candidate worthy of your vote or support would be checked into a body bag or a "mental health facility" long before he got one campaign contribution. The Catholics in the USA who think Rand Paul , Trey Gowdy , Donald Duck- er Trump :really-mad2: are on their side need to take a red pill quickly.  The best "Catholic Action" at this point is to head for the hills.  Trying to make waves in Sodom is more futile than casting the proverbial pearls before swine. These wolves (no insult intended to our furry friends) will tear you to pieces.

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us, you are our only hope.

Earlier today I was addressing the old chestnut of 'if only more people helped'. A woman was setting up a pro-life stall  and finds it a struggle to get people to help here. For an hour or so on a Friday she stands with a banner in a town centre. Like many she does the work of ten people. A banner on street can lose its appeal too. If she didn't do it nobody in the town would.
I usually apply the book Action and a booklet by Liam Connolly in my approach. Tomorrow for example we will have the Fatima processions. Today I spent hours speaking with owners of craft shops and co-operatives. Speaking with small business owners and visiting towns has everything to do with propagating the faith. I usually bring prayer cards, pro-life leaflets, medals, books with me.
The woman in question can't be faulted and does great work. Some have this view you have to be on the street. In a few weeks Dublin will host the annual pro-life rally. Regional activism is strong in Ireland. If a group appears ineffective it is for them to review their approach. After the 2013 abortion act there was interest in the rosary outside the Irish hospitals. The interest seems to have gone and no desire to fight the 2013 legislation. Heading for the hills is good advice. Homeschooling surely also.
