  • A lot better than this forum!

I know, Cathinfo sucks. Yet here you are, spending plenty of time here. What does that say about your own suckiness?
Apparently, however awful CathInfo is, you are a perfect fit for it. You apparently belong here. (source: your actions)

I didn't say Cathinfo #@&%$. I said AI is "better".

Actually, I don't spend much time if you look at the brevity of my posts, with the lengthy ones done for me largely by AI. I've saved a LOAD of my time.

Have anything educational to say on the OP?

Let me educate you about "better". It's a degree of "good". The "#@&%$" is less than good. And, I don't use trashy talk either.

  • isnt there certain hardware at home depot thats like 2-4 cents? like a tiny washer?
I haven't seen any, though I prefer to get things such as that at Lowe's.  Lowe's upholds traditional values while Home Depot is very "woke".

I've found that things such as that usually come in packs of several of the same item, the cost is minimal so I go ahead and get the pack and throw the unused ones into my tool drawers.  And, yes, sometimes you will find packs where someone has taken one out and pocketed it.

  • The idea of a cashless society is absolutely terrifying, and yes, I think the removal of the penny is pushing us in that direction.

I came across an explanation of the horrors of a cashless society on another forum, which was so good I thought I would paste it here:

    Quote
You arrive at the checkout with your digital ID because you can't buy groceries without it. Cash currency has been abolished. You notice you've been charged 20 credits for an item but the purple haired thing next to you just paid 5 credits for the same item.

You pull into the station to fill up at 5 credits a gallon and the pump shuts off before you're done. The screen says you've reached your limit for the week. The next 10 gallons will cost 15 credits.

You open up your computer and see that your carbon credits e-mailed bill has doubled because a cold front moved in. You call the local firewood guy and find out you've reached your allotment, and he is not allowed to sell you more because the Government is monitoring and cataloging his sales.

    Free train rides to follow....

Sounds crazy but this is Government monitoring on steroids, and it will result in the Government controlling everything in our lives and ultimately our freedom.

By 2030 we will own nothing and be happy....or else.

We were required to get Real ID driver's license, or we could not fly. At the same time the Government was flying invaders in for free with no ID. Funny that.
