  • Excellent video!  Be nice if the teachers woke up and threw a spanner in the works.

This is a link to the   http://www.ed.gov/edblogs/technology/files/2013/02/OET-Draft-Grit-Report-2-17-13.pdf mentioned (.pdf).

"Interaction patterns also can be explored by tracking eye moments to see where learners focus attention during problem solving.  Conati and Merten (2007) used an eye-tracking device to examine metacognitive behaviors that are relevant for learning mathematical functions...Examples of affective computing methods are growing...have used data mining techniques as well as physiological response data from a biofeedback apparatus that measures blood volume, pulse, and galvanic skin response" with appropriate soul destroying medications to follow.

Here's an old story that CBS got around to doing on the origins of the www.cbsnews.com/2100-500164_162-591676.html.  Ten years late and many dollars short, but they reference stories that are now hard to find in the original sources.

Second-Class Science: Education Research gets an F - "the research shows" mantra exposed as the crap lie it is.

The speaker should have reference Norman Dodd and the Reece Committee from the 1950s which discovered the agenda of the banking parasites and their "foundations"

Matthew, in minute 10 they mention Texas, and that the state has not adopted Common Core, but has another program that she says is WORSE:

    C-SCOPE
    .

Have you heard about that, being from Texas?

I have friends who have homeschooled all their children and they're fully aware of the horrible dangers of Common Core.  Then there are other parents with young children, who are very somber about this, as they're facing the task of not only keeping their children out of public schools (even parochial or private schools, too) but also the threat of being accused of "child abuse" for doing so.

Some rumblings going on for laws that make prohibition of TV viewing as "child abuse."
