No, I haven't either.

What I didn't mention was that my entire family is from that city, including myself. I got out of there before it became "Detroit Lite". It's a manufacturing town, a lot of blue-collar jobs only.

The town probably has a dozen strip joints, several dozen bars, but only 2 bookstores in a city of 139,000. That should tell you something.

Property taxes are high, job prospects are low. If you don't have a skill, you can't find work there these days. I know several people that are in that situation.
