  • Who wrote this?  Whoever it is has put their finger on the problem of "just talking about it", or low level warfare.  It is a joke and we are a joke to them, not even as pesky as a fly.

  • Kevin "Cryptogon" Flaherty

Actually, Cryptogon isn't his nickname or his middle name -- but it's the name of his site.

He's an agnostic/atheist who (all too frequently) riles against religion -- he puts it in the same category as TV, beer, movies, video games...

He has some brains, but unfortunately his intelligence has not led him to God -- another one who has fallen by pride. May God have mercy on him.

He has his little farm in New Zealand, but even if it allows him to survive the coming times, and live to a ripe old age, what then...?

Sad to see someone so intelligent, with an Irish heritage (no doubt his ancestors were Catholic), being so blind to the complete truth.

  • There is a saying---too smart for his own good---which probably says it.  This being the great apostasy, perhaps pride is as much at fault as curiousity.  People do seem to think that they are too smart to believe in God.  They say, "I see" so their sin remains.  It's a double bind.

He had a good point about martial arts, though.  Aren't we supposed to be as smart as a fox or serpent.  Wouldn't that mean, by God's grace, we could outwit and out maneuver the big boys?   :fryingpan:

Some martial arts Id suggest are Taekwondo, the Kungfu styles of the Tiger,Northern Shoulin, and N Mantis, and the Japanese arts of Kempo, Karate, and Kendo(Japanese swordsmanship) because the use of the sword never dies. Even a million years from now swordsmanship will continue as long as there is such thing as original sin. I also suggest fencing. If you practice real hard you will in time be able to side kick an attacker from a distance of 15feet in less than 2 seconds. My Taekwondo Master sure can! He could kill you with a pencil with a broken lead!

  • You know, CS, I was thinking tonight about Peter drawing the sword and cutting off that guy's ear.  I know nothing about martial arts except that my five year old grandson is enamoured of it.  Anyway, didn't Jesus say we were to sell our coats to get a sword?

This is all apropos of whether we should join battle or just stand mutely by while these devils slaughter at will.  I'm sure all of us want to do whatever pleases the Lord, and it would sure help if we knew what would please Him.  It just seems so gutless and limp wristed to do nothing but talk while evil grows and people are being cut down one way or another.  If we even stood up and said "To get to him, you have to go through me," it would be something.  They say that an antelope can count his friends on the fingers of one hoof when there is a lion in bushes.  That is the sad and sorry case for every one of us in this country.
