  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there's any doubt that Catholics who embrace Zionism, like evangelicals/fundamentalists so often do, have embarked on a course that would inevitably lead to their apostasy, if they follow it to its logical conclusion.

"Demi-Jews" seems like an appropriate term for them.  I mean, when people start glorifying that state and display stars of david more prominently in their home, than  a cross/crucifixes it seems as if "the writing is on the wall."  They may as well just convert!

It's just so heart breaking though, when you see this happen to someone you love.  And how are you supposed to treat them?  Please, I need help with this.

  • To get into bed with the followers of Christ's killers is a form of apostasy. I don't know what is the proper way to deal with such people.

  • Christians should actively try to convert Jews. You can't do that by  legitimizing Zionism.   Legitimizing Zionism only enables them to  remain Jewish.

  • Catholic Zionist is pure looney toons!!!

It's a contradiction that can't be smoothed out with double talk.

Zionism, like most things Jewish, is a denial of Our Lord.

I think most Catholic Zionists are actually novus ordites who are just bored out of their minds with the banality of the new mass and the vagueness of catechesis.  So, they figure that by learning about and buddying up with Jews (who hate Our Lord with every fiber of their being - no matter what they say to your face) that they are somehow giving meat to the bones of the post-Vatican II skeleton church.

Most novus ordites, particularly those with no experience of the actual Catholic Church, they are usually bored and they feel there is nothing "there" so they are glad that ecumenical activities are encouraged because the novus ordo parishes are such spiritually barren places yet novus ordites are always bragging about how their church goes back to Jesus Christ when, in actuality, the novus ordo church is much newer than most protestant churches and only goes back to 1969.

Most novus ordites are taught that the covenant with the Jews is still ENTIRELY valid and that Catholicism only has Our Lord added on to Jewish theology as a end note.

  • Many "christians," including novus ordo Catholics become Zionists because of an attraction to what is called "Messianic Judaism."  Having been to several such "congregations," I think the basis for the attraction is a desire for liturgy and sacrament.  Evangelical, pentecostal, and fundamentalists' church services are entirely lacking in both.  If the individual soul is sincerely searching for Truth, there remains the outer trappings of what was once the true religion.  From there, it is easy to slip into political Zionism.  While "Christian Zionism" is
itself, detestable and should be condemned, I would refrain from condemning those involved it.  Instead, such souls should be taught about the True Religion.  It is possible they are searching for Truth.
Never been a Zionist, but "passed through" on my spiritual journey.
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • Good responses.  Truth in all of them, I think.  One thing nobody mentioned was that jews dominate america.  We've basically been "conquered" by them.  They seem to "make the rules."  And they are our enemies.  So, it would seem to me, that there is some temptation to collaborate or even begin to identify with our conquerers, because it makes us feel like we're in control.   Call it "stockholm syndrome" if you want, but I think it is as old as the hills and I definitely do not think modern psychology invented the concept.  It could simply be motivated by a right desire to mend the humiliation of defeat, fear of what's to come and the guilt for having let it happen, but an obstacle to accepting the right way to do that.  In other words, if you won't live life on God's terms, then you find some other way and right now, catholic-zionism and/or hyphenated-zionism seems to be getting lots of promotion.

Based on this idea, I'd expect to see growth of "islamo-zionism," in the future.  Particularly in europe and great britain.

This article and video show a muslim-zionist and a christian-zionist asserting that, "anti-zionism = anti-semitism."  Of course, that isn't true.  Catholics cannot reject jews based on their race, they reject them based on their beliefs and of course, accept them when they become catholics.  So, there is no anti-semitism in catholicism, but catholicism is anti-zionist (as I understand it, we believe ourselves to be God's chosen people and believe the jews to be the opposite).  Jews are rejected by God, because they rejected him and Catholics are accepted by God, because they accepted him.  There's nothing racial about that.  It is religious.

As far as islam being anti-semitic, it seems to embrace all the races of the world.  So, even from islam, anti-zionism seems to have nothing to do with anti-semitism.  I just don't think jews get much discrimination based on their genetics;  I think it is their religious identification, even if they are "jewish-existentialists."

  • Zionism (implicit or explicit) has spread like a cancer among Catholics in America, particularly since 2001 (I have a few 9/11 inspired Zionists in my own family, I'm sorry to say).

When confronting a "Catholic Zionist," I would recommend quoting Pope St. Pius X who, when meeting Theordor Herzl, the founder of modern Zionism, said:

“We cannot prevent the Jews from going to Jerusalem, but we could never sanction it. The Jews have not recognized our Lord; therefore we cannot recognize the Jewish people. If you come to Palestine and settle your people there, we will have churches and priests ready to baptize all of you.”

That should settle the matter for any Catholic. Should.

The sad reality, however, is that if you're dealing with a Catholic stupid enough to embrace Zionism in the first place, there is a serious possibility that his response to you will be "Pope who?"

    I speak from experience.
