Dear Joan,

     This is something that makes me so said. The world has turned its back on the people of China that suffer untold horrors at the hands of the Communist.  Do you live in America? I forget, anyhow, why I wonder isn't my country boycotting these Olympics.
     I did not come to my ideas of the Modern Church in Rome very easily, but, Joan the betrayal of the Chinese underground by Benedict XVI has made me even more aware that there is something wrong in Rome. As a note, I mention the people suffering under Communism in China as well as those in North Korea, Russia and suffering from the infidels in the Middle East each time my children and I pray the Rosary. I do not want them forgotten.
Have you ever read of Joseph Cardinal Mindszenty? That is a wonderful story of this holy man's courage under persecution and ultimate betrayal by the Vatican.  Sad times we live in indeed.
