  •  California sheriff decries sancutary laws

DAILYKENN.com -- Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes says California's sanctuary laws are unsafe. What's more, he claims the laws are hurting legal immigrants.

    No human is illegal.

The far-left obviously disagrees. It ignores the cost in human suffering caused by sanctuary laws. Lefists offer little more than empty idioms such as, "no human is illegal."

Seriously? Do cultural Marxists believe no citizens are legal? That laws apply to no one?

If the sanctuary of your home is invaded by a burglar, must we assume the person making the illegal entry is not an illegal invader? Or should he be consider a legal invader? No one, after all, is illegal.

Must we assume Charlie Manson's gang members were not illegal intruders when they murdered Sharon Tate, Abigail Folger, Wojciech Frykowski, Jay Sebring, and Leno LaBianca? Should the state have granted sanctuary to Leslie Van Houten, Susan Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkel, and Tex Watson in the homes of their victims? After all, no human is illegal.

Granted, not all illegal aliens are brutal killers. But many are. For the record, MS-13 killed 24 people in Manson's old stomping ground, Los Angeles, but received far less media hype. But let's not be insensitive and refer to killers as "illegal aliens."

Mitch McKinley explains the absurdity of California's sanctuary laws. In lawenforcementtoday.com:

    Quote
     • Senate Bill 225: allows illegal aliens to hold any “appointed civil office” and to “receive any form of compensation that the person is not otherwise prohibited from receiving pursuant to federal law.” A nearly identical bill was vetoed last year by former Gov. Brown.

    Quote
     • Assembly Bill 668: locks Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) out of state courthouses. This legislation was also previously vetoed by Gov. Brown.

    Quote
     • Senate Bill 104: expands the health benefits to illegal aliens by making aliens aged 19-25 eligible for Medi-Cal, the state’s Medicaid program. Illegal aliens 18-years old and younger were already eligible.

    Quote
     • Assembly Bill 1645: requires the California Community Colleges and the California State University to designate a Dreamer Resource Liaison on each of their respective campuses to help illegal alien and other immigrant students obtain financial aid and other resources such as social and legal services.

    Quote
     • Assembly Bill 32: bans private prisons, the majority which contract with ICE to hold illegal aliens while their cases go through immigration court.

    Quote
     • Assembly Bill 1747: restricts the use of the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (CLETS) for immigration enforcement.
