  • A Catholic school supporting the army of occupation. The school are either ignorant or blatant quislings. The British have no right to be in our country. Not everyone is a 'Castle Catholic'. The Castle Catholics are pro British establishment. Very ignorant on the part of this Catholic girls school.

    Preas Ráitheas / Press Release – 15/11/2016

“Republican Sinn Féin in Tyrone have criticized the actions of the RUC/PSNI, who have been busy doing the footwork of the British army.  We criticizes also the ignorance of the Loreto Grammar School in Omagh.

British forces in this country have no right to be here.  They have a history of oppression and murder on behalf of England’s want to own Ireland.  Any Irish people who collaborate with this rule dishonor the memory of every man, woman and child who ever suffered at the hands of British rule.

The Loreto GS tweet thanking the PSNI for informing students about careers in the RAF Cadets under the guise of ‘building the community’ fall exactly in line with current British Army policy in Ireland.   Operation Helvetic, is the British armies current campaign title.  Helvetic was an 18th century Swiss society with the aim of merging Catholics and Protestants into one society.

The great problem for us here is not of religion, the entire of the occupied six counties is based on a sectarian head count and as long as British forces remain, they will remain the source of divisions.  Shame on the Loreto GS for collaborating with British imperialists.”

  • James Connolly writing in 1915 about British soldiers in Dublin.

    Quote
But if the reader will take his stand any night at the corner of O’Connell Street and Bachelor’s Walk, of College Green or Dame Street, of Grafton Street, High Street and Christ Church Place, the Quays, Rathmines Road or Portobello Bridge, or a dozen other places where people congregate, he will see soldiers continually accosting and importuning girls and women, and policemen smilingly looking on. We have seen two soldiers under the influence of liquor accost at least a dozen girls, pester them with their presence, and force their company upon them until the victims were compelled to walk out in the middle of the street in order to get past. If the girls themselves or any of their male relatives had slapped the faces of these brutes as they deserved they would have been at once arrested for doing so, but the big lout of a policeman looked on at their bestiality and grinned his approval.

    Quote
Tommy Atkins must have his pleasures, even although Irish girls are ruined.

Hundreds of Irish mothers in Dublin will yet curse the army whose soldiers ruined their daughters, and curse the government whose courts and police set a premium upon the military uniform as a cloak for and safeguard against the punishment of male immorality.

If you would make Dublin clean in its moral standards

    REMOVE THE GARRISON.

  • In the North of Ireland a woman that became romantically involved with a British soldier was tarred and feathered or given a similar punishment. Same for Catholic woman, who got involved with the police.Informing to the police usually means death.

  • This song is worth listening to. Women would warn when the British army were arriving.

    Lid of Me Granny's Bin

    Quote
As I was climbing into bed, at my poor granny's side,
I looked out of the window, the army had arrived.
The house was soon surrounded; they battered the front door in.
I knew They'd come to take away, the lid of me granny's bin.

    Chorus:

And it was Scream, Bang, Shout, raise awful din.
you got spread a warning when the army they come in.

she opened up a window, and she clambered down the spout,
Soon her bin was rattling, to call her neighbors out.
She then took out her whistle, and blew away like hell,
And soon we heard an echo, as the neighbors blew as well.

    Chorus:

And it was Scream, Bang, Shout, raise awful din.
you got spread a warning when the army they come in.

A soldier came right the upstairs, his rifle in his hand.
She kicked him with her button boots, as down the hall she ran.
then up step't another one, some medal for to win.
But all he got right on the gob, was the lid of me granny's bin.

    Chorus:

And it was Scream, Bang, Shout, raise awful din.
you got spread a warning when the army they come in.

The music rose like thunder, as the bins and whistles played.
The army soon retreated, they knew they'd overstayed.
It wasn't made of silver; it wasn't made of tin,
But once again it saved the street, the lid of me granny's bin.

    Chorus:

And it was Scream, Bang, Shout, raise awful din.
you got spread a warning when the army they come in. Now war has had its weapons, since men began to fight,
And everyone has different ways to try and show their might.
The army has try'd everything, to cover up its sins,
And now the plastics bullets failed, their trying plastic bins

    Chorus:

And it was Scream, Bang, Shout, raise awful din.
you got spread a warning when the army they come in.

Go home kind friends, and go to bed,
sleep as best ye can, but if trouble comes along
Get out and lend a hand, to all you fair young ladies,
If trouble does begin, get out into your back-yard love,
and rattle away at your bin

    Chorus:

And it was Scream, Bang, Shout, raise awful din.
you got spread a warning when the army they come in.

And it was Scream, Bang, Shout, raise awful din.
you got spread a warning when the army they come in.

Very ignorant on the part of this Catholic girls school.

It's not ignorance. This is supposed to be an establishment for education. It's anti-Catholic, to say the very least.
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.
