Breathing condition exception for the muzzle

  • This is what the order says in my county:

    Quote
I have a breathing condition that makes me unable to wear a mask or face covering. Do I still have to?
No. Persons for whom a face covering would cause impairment due to an existing health condition are exempt from the Board's order.

Does the Board's order require me to disclose my specific condition?
The order prohibits business operators and their employees from asking for specifics or documentation if a customer claims an exception for health reasons, or denying admittance or service to that person for not wearing a face covering.
So according to that, you can just claim you have a breathing condition and they can't even demand documentation.

    Has anyone tried this?

  • According to what  you quoted, everyone has a breathing condition.
Anything that restricts your full oxygen intake (a mask) causes a breathing condition.

    I can't upvote this enough!!!
I'm homebound so I don't go out but I can say that
Father Relyea says he always just puts up his hand and says with confidence, in his New York voice of course,
    "Medical Condition"
    and they leave him alone.
If a waitress gives him a hard time he asks if they have ever heard of HIPPA laws.  (You aren't allowed to ask what medical conditon.)

  • Today I decided to refuse to wear the muzzle in the one store that imposes it of all the ones I regularly go to, and as soon as I got in without one, an employee that was there said I have to wear one. I asked why, he said it's the store policy, then I said I've seen other people inside before not wearing one, which is true, he said no not in this store, then I said yes I have seen them before, so he kept saying that if I want to shop there I will have to wear it.

I just turned away and left.

I'm thinking of writing a Google review of the store and blasting the manager for being a dumb sheep. I know he regularly reads and responds to them.

I'm thinking if I should go back another day and actually show them videos of the "health authorities" where they say they don't work and that people without symptoms don't have to wear them anyway and give them a hard time haha.

Or I could also go again and pull the medical condition card. THE LAW says they can't ask for documentation, so I'm considering that.

    Yes!  Do both.

We all should simply put our hand up and say, "Medical condition."

If they pursue it further, which according to the Americans With Disabilities Act they should not do in any way----Harassing people with disabilities or refusing them service--then we should be prepared to show them evidence and make our stand.

Peggy Hall at thehealthyamerican.org has lots of info on how to fight the mask "mandates" which are in no way law!

She successfully fought back in Orange County and give lots of good advice on how to fight this whole thing.

I don't wear masks. I go into stores and walk right up to an employee and tell them I am medically exempt and please to tell their staff so I am not bothered.
At times, I carry a sign and place it on my handbag stating the same thing so as not to be bothered. Nobody says anything to me.
My husband doesn't say anything except that he is exempt if they ask and then goes on his merry way.
The exception (to a point) are hospitals and doctor offices. Usually, the doctor will allow me to remove the mask or I simply place my face in my shirt to take breaths.
    STOP WEARING THE MASK.

  • I just lie and say I have asthma.

I won't be told what to do.

I am rarely asked.  I look pretty rough, like I might assault a person.

  • I'm upset with myself that I didn't plan it better and told them about the exception right from the start, that would have been better because they can't do anything about it.

I read about the mandate after I got home but I already knew about it from before.

Now if I go back and use the medical exception, there will be that bad feeling because I didn't do it from the start.

I rather just never go there again and make them pay because I've been a regular customer there for over a year now.

Why? You aren't beholding to that store and people develop illnesses and issues all the time. Not being able to breathe properly is a medical exemption.

Have courage! The most they can do is ask you to leave and you do just that. You can choose to pursue legal action or not but don't let people control you-that's God's job.

I don't think it's too late.  Some people develop medical issues.

  • If they ask you to leave, ask them in a louder voice "SOOooooo you don't want disabled people in your store?  Are you now discriminating against disabled people?"

I don't think they can ask you to leave if you tell them that's what the mandate says.

And they probably know it already, they have to.

If they insist you could have it on the phone or printed and just shove it in their face.

  • Don't lie.  By lying you are not only committing a sin, you are strengthening the fraud which you are trying to extract yourself from.  The people wearing masks are perpetuating the lie that masks prevent the spread of airborn virus.  The people who lied to get out of wearing a mask are also tacitly supporting the same lie with the addition of another lie (that they have a condition which would prevent them from wearing a mask).  If you can wear a mask/ventilator to avoid toxic fumes, you can wear a surgical mask too.  There certainly are medical reasons for not wearing a mask all the time but that's not the reason you are giving for not wearing a mask.  You are specifically saying that you have a medical condition which prevents you from wearing a mask altogether.  That actually is the case for some people.  They simply cannot wear a mask without severe and immediate consequences to their health and maybe risk death.  But I know people who have been medically diagnosed with asthma who regularly wear masks without any apparent problem.  So you can see why the medical exemption is barely believable.  Don't lie.  Just tell them flat out that you refuse to wear a mask.  Let the chips fall where they may.  Why do you want to give business to these tyrants anyway?  There are plenty of people who would love to have your business, mask or no mask.

  • I think it's important to be polite and respectful.

People have a bad enough opinion of non maskers.

It's hard because this is so ridiculous but we have to remember these people have literally been brainwashed and are being pressured by their higher ups.

They don't like the conflict either.

As for medical reasons, I also know a lot of people who get high anxiety from wearing them.
