Unfortunately, I doubt that an exorcism would do any good.  These people are too dug in.  What would an exorcism in Sodom and Gomorrah have accomplished?   An exorcist cannot perform his rite successfully if the subject, or possessed soul, does not desire to be free of the demonic possession.

    They've done an excellent job smearing the Catholic Church, because of the pedo infiltrators that were forgiven and given a second chance and destroyed trust over and over again. the Priests who kept them on were also victimized by these infiltrator pedo's because they were promised responsible behavior to the Church and they, the pedo's, stabbed everyone in the back. It was a horrible tragedy and destroyed lives. The Church experienced an infiltration and people failed in exposing and permanently removing them.

    Elle Bee I agree with you...abuse has been rampart in many organizations (like the ones you mention) and is always inexcusable yet the media ignores everyone else and has obsessed with discrediting the Catholic Church to the detriment to all good Catholics who had nothing to do with the abuse and many holy priests as well. Perhaps this view of the Catholic Church is what allows them to justify mocking it in public. However, critical thinking leads us to see that there's disparity in the treatment of the Catholic Church in the media. For example, any well informed person is aware of all the horrors in Muslim communities (marriages of old guys to child brides as young as 8, genital mutilations, wife beatings, stoning of gαys, terrorist attacks, etc.) yet if a public mockery of Islam was scheduled at a venue such as Harvard, the media would be decrying it as a hate crime.

Greaves confirmed the ritual will use a "host" although as the group doesn't believe in the "supernatural elements," he couldn't call it a "consecrated host" as Catholics do.

So they're making something up to mock a whole bunch of people, and they might or might not be using a consecrated host.

An independent student organization, the Harvard Extension Cultural Studies Club, plans to host a controversial student event involving a historical reenactment of a black mass ceremony that has a narrator providing historical context and background.

Students at Harvard Extension School, like students at colleges across the nation, organize and operate a number of independent student organizations, representing a wide range of student interests.

Harvard Extension School does not endorse the views or activities of any independent student organization. But we do support the rights of our students and faculty to speak and assemble freely.

In this case, we understand that this independent student organization, the Cultural Studies Club, is hosting a series of events—including a Shinto tea ceremony, a Shaker exhibition, and a Buddhist presentation on meditation—as part of a student-led effort to explore different cultures.

It is a ceremony in remembrance of the day Jesus had told his apostles that he had been betrayed and would die. Take this bread, this is my body, etc. Catholics are also not the only group of people who participate in communion. It is not that simplistic even if it -looks- simplistic.

A Harvard University student club is hosting a satanic black mass reenactment celebrating witchcraft and satanic worship.

The event hosted by the Harvard Extension Cultural Studies Club will feature a performance by The Satanic Temple. According to their website, the religious organization's mission is “to encourage benevolence and empathy among all people.”

A black mass is a “magical ceremony” meant to parody a Catholic mass, supposedly during “Witches’ Sabbath”—a meeting of those practicing witchcraft. The ritual serves to mock God and worship the devil, even going so far as “to involve human sacrifice as well as obscenity and blasphemy of horrific proportions.”

Lucien Greaves, a spokesperson for The Satanic Temple, confirmed to Campus Reform that the event is to take place next week. According to him, the reenactment ritual will include different elements of "conspiracy theories" dating back to days of witchcraft.

But in an interview with Campus Reform, Greaves said the black mass has become more ambiguous and convoluted as it incorporates more theories and more religious rituals over time. On the other hand, some of the elements present in the 19th century rituals are simply no longer there.
 

"[Harvard's ritual] will mock rituals of other mainstream religious rituals," Greaves said.

Greaves confirmed the ritual will use a "host" although as the group doesn't believe in the "supernatural elements," he couldn't call it a "consecrated host" as Catholics do.

"Consecrated or not, it means nothing to us," he said.

Greaves has spoken to college classes in the past, but this is the first ritual the satanic organization has performed on campus. He said they are generally more concerned with engaging in socio-political dialogue.

The free event will be held May 12 at the Queen’s Head Pub in Memorial Hall, an on-campus bar. The pub is technically closed for the summer but is still available to be rented out for private events. A spokesperson for the pub confirmed to Campus Reform that the club had reserved space for that day.

According to the registration page, the reenactment will feature commentary as well as historical context.

Last year, the Cultural Studies Club at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education hosted a “History of Satanic Worship” with academics and practicing Satanists. It is unclear if the graduate school and the extension school groups are the same or affiliated.

A university spokesperson confirmed to Campus Reform the event is not sponsored by Harvard. Shortly after, Harvard's extension school released a press release further solidifying the school's distance from the event.

"Harvard Extension School does not endorse the views or activities of any independent student organization," the release states. "But we do support the rights of our students and faculty to speak and assemble freely."

CBS Boston has reported that "[t]he Archdiocese of Boston wants Harvard to put a stop to the event."

"The Catholic community in the Archdiocese of Boston expresses its deep sadness and strong opposition to the plan to stage a “black mass” on the campus of Harvard University in Cambridge. For the good of the Catholic faithful and all people, the Church provides clear teaching concerning Satanic worship.

This activity separates people from God and the human community, it is contrary to charity and goodness, and it places participants dangerously close to destructive works of evil."

I regret to inform you that according to news reports, emails and flyers posted at locations around Harvard University, the Satanic Temple will perform a Satanic Black Mass on campus on Monday, May 12, at 8:30 PM.

This is a most grave sin, a direct insult and act of defiance against God.  And Catholics and all God-loving Americans must SPEAK OUT before it happens!

In fact, the Archdiocese of Boston has just called on all Catholics to express their "strong opposition" to the plan to stage a "black mass" and urged the faithful to ask that Harvard disassociate itself from the event.

"LIKE" moral values!!

    The Satanic Temple is the same group that is working to get a Satanic monument built on state grounds in Oklahoma City and in other locations across America.

    Allowing a Satanic Black Mass at America’s most prestigious university is a sin that offends God deeply and begs the question: are we still one nation under God?

    To invite Satan into your soul isn’t a joke.  It’s a terrible sin that brings devils to the earth and provokes God to withdraw His graces and blessings from America.

Hopefully this Monday night on May 12, 2014 this vile and wretched display of freedom of speech should not at all be tolerated by anyone. I would not approve of anyone burning a cross in front of an African-American's home or a Swatzika symbol on a Jєωιѕн person's door, or anyone's beliefs of God's love, compassion, and mercy along with His commandments. Unbelievably sad and disturbing. My thought, the Catholic students of the campus should gather outside the establishment where it will be held, all with crucifixes in hand, and pray. Other possibility, the students should invite an exorcist priest to accompany them, and have him pray over those who plan to enter it. Even pray outside during it!

But their god is tolerance, and this flys in the face of tolerance. This is certainly a hate crime against all Christians, and especially directed against Catholics. Not the most prestigious university in the land for much longer. My son was accepted to Harvard and was given tremendous praise. When he told everyone at school he planned to go the Franciscan University in Ohio... everyone treated him like he was throwing his life away. One could certainly understand the inner conflict a 17 year old boy would feel when all of his teachers, coaches and peers are telling him all he's throwing all his hard work for the past four years away... All I can do is constantly tell him, "someday, you will realize how right your decision was, I promise you: When 1,000 people are running to a cliff, the one who is running in the opposite direction appears to be crazy."

Mentioning words like reenactment and historical content does not mask the negative satanic intent of the black mass. Harvard should distance itself from this event . Harvard should be a role model of the higher path of education and character building. Let the promoters of this event take it and their "freedom of speech" elsewhere....not to Harvard.

Is Harvard's notion of tolerance and/or culture - acts of degradation against another's religion?

Imagine for a moment if Harvard agreed to re-enact a lynching complete with racial slurs for the public to better understand culture? Appropriate? Backwards? Offensive? Yes... And so too does this offend Christianity to the core.

Just because Harvard says it's educational, cultural, tolerant, re-enacted, not real (or otherwise) does not make it any less offensive.

Terrible that the good name of Harvard has been juxtaposed with Satanism on the same advertisement.

Unbelievably sad and disturbing. My thought, the Catholic students of the campus should gather outside the establishment where it will be held, all with crucifixes in hand, and pray. Other possibility, the students should invite an exorcist priest to accompany them, and have him pray over those who plan to enter it. Even pray outside during it!

As i said my suggestion is that at the time this ordeal is happening perhaps individually or in groups we can say the Rosary. Just a thought. Pray and pray hard! We have to put ourselves in the hands of God and under the protection of the Holy Spirit. That is what i think. And special prayers for this group of young people leading the way. They need protection and the light of Christ to surround them.

If enough people gather at Harvard to pray the Rosary, you can be certain, this event will not happen.  Rest assured.  

Anyone within driving distance, please go to Harvard to pray the Rosary!  We could all meet in our local churches and oratories and public parks to do this.  Anyone with a bullhorn or a traffic cone could organize a Rosary in a park today.  Everyone praying rosaries at abortion clinics today, could add this intention.  Everyone at home or in their car can add this intention.  

Pray for this black mass to stop.  Dear God, make it stop!

This is obviously the truth -- don't be too surprised if someone does just this.  It would prove the point by having a Koran-burning ceremony right outside the black mass and just watch how fast the police get involved.  The Mohammedans will become violent but they would not be arrested or accused.  The police would only take Christians into custody, because this has already happened so many times now that the police are brainwashed into the pattern of the policy for the non-arrest of non-Christians.

All the alumni of Harvard have a special influence with their prayers to God because it means something personal to them.  Likewise, those who have no interest in this matter but had studied at Harvard would be more culpable for not praying.

As has been written . . . A once great institution of higher academic prowess, rigid standards and upper class mores has sunk to a depth beneath its upper crust mission. Will its reputation guarantee it survives unscathed? Surely alumni will hire graduates and legacies will still apply but . . . Who among us who are not graduates would now send their child there? Drugs are one thing but a Satanic Mass! As for hiring, again, who among us would hire a possible worshipper of Satan? Clearly, this is a game changer for the school! Water does seek its own level. Harvard is obviously not nearly as smart as we have all given the school so much credit for for so many years.

What is going on here is the following:

This not only affects Harvard, it affects all of the Ivy League colleges.  Any one of them that does nothing to oppose this immense and PUBLIC EVIL from taking place becomes part of the problem.  Nobody should be sending their children to any of these schools anymore because now THEY HAVE ALL BEEN DEFILED with this PUBLIC AND BLATANT DEDICATION TO THE DEVIL.  

Even if this event is stopped, you still should not go to an ivy league school.  Just the fact that this event was planned and advertised and about to take place is a BLASPHEMY of the HIGHEST ORDER.  The entire east coast and New England is now dedicated to the devil.  

This is no small matter. This is What is going on here.
