    • I guess we will see just how 'reformed' these rebels apparently are from ISIS etc.

    First clue will be how they treat the POW's who did not put up a fight IMO, whether it turns into a more ruthless and bloodthirsty CHAZ during the BLM riots and protests... I suspect it's going to be chaos and numerous in-fighting and atrocities as there are numerous 'rebel' forces who are likely all vying for power now, maybe it was better for Assad to fall and see these groups all eventually turn on each other, although, either way one can't respect a man who fled and left his own behind to the mercy of such rebels if they do end up committing atrocities like ISIS did.

    I guess we'll see what unfolds and then things will become clearer.

    IMO such a blitzkrieg was planned in advanced, even western media were sure to amplify a single narrative for the demoralization of any resistance to it and of course, Obama's administration have wanted this for a long time, another parting act of Biden's administration I presume, just like the Ukraine escalation.

    • Time will tell, but I couldn't help but note some similarities here. If Trump did not deploy the National Guard and show resolve he would have ended a similar way IMO, in the end they used covid and unprecedented fraud (mail in ballots etc) to oust him in 2020.

    This is also another provocation against Russia IMO since they did not trigger WWIII with their escalation in Ukraine... Anyway, I'll pray for mitigation, the sooner Biden's administration is gone the better and the sooner they can start dismantling the USA Deep State the better IMO, I just hope Trump does not get deceived or misdirected as they are already trying to do with the Macron and Zelensky meeting IMO.

    Also, that's the thing with these guys, if Prigozhin had won it would've been a total nightmare handing him the worlds largest Nuclear arsenal... what absolute lunatics... same if BLM had won and thus the new political discourse was through rioting and looting and violent changes of power, just like how ISIS used to be classified as 'moderate' rebels in the beginning too.

    It'll also be interesting in regards to how the Russia-Turkey relationship will go now given the role that Turkey apparently played in it.

    It seems to me "ISIS" has outlived its usefulness to the people in the US, Israel, and our "allies" and now ISIS is being killed.
    Hey, General Kurilla: The entire reason you folks claim to be in Syria all these years - without UN mandate or even Security Council Resolution - was to "stop ISIS?"   So how is it that under YOUR command, ISIS managed to set up the 75 camps you now admit to bombing?
    Isn't it a fact, sir, that YOU knew those ISIS people were being used by the US and Israel and THAT was why you never touched them?
    Isn't it a fact, sir, that you are killing those people so they cannot come and testify about:
    --Who was actually commanding them? 
    --Who was actually supplying them? 
    -- Who was actually training them? 
    and
    -- Who actually recruited them?
    Isn't it a fact, sir, that if those men from "ISIS" had to testify in court, a lot of people in the Pentagon would be heading to prison for what they've been doing for years?  Maybe even some Pentagon folks with the rank of "General?"

    I appreciate this very concise CliffsNote.  Sorry if this is a dumb question, but why do you say "retook"?  It sounds like they took over in a rebellion, overthrowing the legitimate & long-term regime, but not retook territory that was rightly theirs before.  Am I understanding correctly?
