  • Yes that is correct. Traditional anti-intellectualism came out of the French Revolution and intellectual obsession with freedom and equality of mankind (along with its anti-religious support from intellectuals).

Criticism of intellectuals comes from their own arrogance, elitism, and snobbery towards their fellow man, their support of liberal economics and uncaring feeling towards those "lower" than them, their being soft on Communism, their disgust of God and religion, their lack of common sense and lack of understanding of how the real world works, their serious attitude, their privelaged life, etc.

  • It is a shame the title "intellectual" has been hijacked by liberals for several centuries now.  The term is more synonymous with active discipleship in the Cult of Man than anything else.

Criticisms:  I take issue with the right-wing/left-wing distinction (we should not thing in terms of right and left, but right and wrong or correct and incorrect); beyond that, many of the modern "intellectuals" pride themselves on their consummate (secular-humanistic) humility, and among them it is not so uncommon any longer to find "fiscal conservatives."

The real irony is that many of the modern godless lot who are lauded as the lights of our age could have been taken to task by any number of the Doctors of our Church.  I'd even wager it'd take only one - the Angelic Doctor - to dispatch the whole 21st century horde.

Your average man has no library of books he can read on a day-to-day basis which is why political philosophy must be populist.

When I speak of Left and Right I am speaking of Marxists, liberals, Social Democrats, socialists, leftists, libertarians, neoconservatives, etc. being on the Lerft and traditionalists and conservatives being on the Right. Also when we speak of right-wing I mean socially speaking, not necessarily economics.

  • The historian Paul Johnson defined intellectualism as the belief in the ability of unaided thought to resolve all questions and all social ills; that is, he equated intellectualism with the manic-progressive, revolutionary, and utopian spirit. This makes sense so long as we retain the '-ism', which denotes an ideology. Those who hold to this perverse ideology - i.e. the vast majority of the people today called intellectuals - could be known instead as 'intellectualists', to differentiate them from real intellectuals, that is, cultivated men and women of discernment, who yet respect the limits of man's fallen intellect.

  • Let me assure you, while cultural leftists may not like working-class white men, they hate intellectual white men who aren't leftists or sodomites even more than they hate average folks.  Much more.  I recommend you read this:
