And now ISIS has claimed responsibility.
Constitutional amendment that bans Islam and shuts down all mosques. NOW.
You'll never see any constitutional amendment in America banning any particular religion (including Islam, or Mohammedism), since there is already an amendment for the free practice of religion. A new one contradicting that would not be legally possible (unconstitutional) unless the former doctrine were first abolished. And that's not going to happen in our "pluralistic society" reminiscent of the abominable French Revolution (which was in the works long before the American Revolution came about).
Freedom of religion is firmly entrenched in the thinking of Americans and in the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) such that abrogating this principle would virtually uproot EVERY OTHER principle of American national identity.
This is so powerfully true that the lousy Mohammedan (they HATE that term for them) terrorists would have to do a LOT more damage for a LOT more time before any threat to their free practice could come into popular acclaim. As it is now, it would just be broad-brushed "racism" and "bigotry" and "un-American".

taking away motherhood and apple pie, and you're getting close.
