I can't believe TWO members were so defensive as to take offense at what the software (SimpleMachines, probably the largest and most popular free open-source message board software in 2017) calls a subforum ("child board")
As a programmer, I use the term parent/child literally every day to refer to an object which is part of, or belongs to, another object. It's a neutral, unoffensive computer term.
Need I point out that this software has been used on CathInfo since Lent of this year? From the very beginning, we have had SEVERAL "child boards" and no one took offense to the term. But as soon as Flat Earth is placed in a "child board", watch out!
It shows how much you've been fighting (or enjoy fighting?) when you're that trigger happy, let me tell you! You're like a Vietnam vet who has flashbacks, PTSD, and/or has to sleep with the lights on.
Or like something out of a comedy -- a military nut who accidentally blows a big hole in his front door just because a stray cat startled him. People laugh AT such types!
