So, rivers do, and rivers don't, but then they do, like I said they do, except for when they don't.
    .
    Simple.
    .
    :jester:

It's like some kind of contrarian kid thing, you know? "O.D.D."

"I'm going to say no to anything that you say, even if I just said it myself." *falls back-to-floor and commences maniacally stamping feet and screaming ice-picks throughout the neighborhood. Police en route...

  • Why did the Mississippi River run backward in 1812?
Because of the tsunami from the earthquake. It came up from the Gulf. There were sharks in the river that came in on the tsunami from the Gulf.
    .
The Japan Earthquake's tsunami in 2011 went up to THREE MILES inland in some places.

  • It's amazing that someone voted for the first choice, that they actually believe water naturally flows upwards. The dumbing down of the people has been very successful. :o
True. People nowadays are so dumb that they think that water (rivers, streams, etc.) flow UPWARDS. Amazing. It defies logic to believe that flowing water flows upwards.

    .
You could start your own poll and include "I don't care" as one option, see how many agree with you.
    .
And if Matthew opens the new sub-forum, yours could be the first thread there with this poll!
    .
But don't be too shocked when the flat-earthers avoid being quarantined like that.
    .
They'll keep on trolling so the CI post count keeps going up that way.
    .
    Sort of.

    .
Meg, when the guy writing the poll options doesn't believe in the existence of gravity, you really shouldn't be surprised when votes recognize his use of the word as a meaningless ambiguity.
    .
    Quote
Rivers on the globe go up the curve before reaching sea level, in defiance of "gravity" itself.
    .
As such, the last phrase can be omitted getting closer to the objective meaning of the option:
    .
Rivers on the globe go up the curve before reaching sea level.
    .
Finally, the verifiable meaning of the option is obtained by removing the other element which the author does not believe exists (Truth is Transitory believes there is no curvature on the earth's surface).
    .
Rivers on the globe go before reaching sea level. = The actual meaning of the first option.
    .
