  • Let us discuss the suspected infiltration of the SSPX.

    How shall we begin?

I for one have not heard anything about this.

    I'm learning:

    more about Catholicism

    how to be a Distributist

    how to be a Monarchist

how to be a Catholic Corporativist

how V2 did more harm than good

how to oppose heresies, especially protestantism and modernism

how our world's political and capitalist elite are involved in antiChristic occultism

... and other issues that would take too long to list.

These issues are what I'm focusing on, and as far as I can tell, the SSPX agrees that the stances myself and other traditionalists have taken on these issues don't conflict with Catholicism.

  •   Obviously I am not Gladius, but I remember an audio taped talk by Bishop Williamson in which he stated clearly that this was a possibility.  He talked of how he didn't want everyone to be in the SSPX as they are the most visable, they'd be the first to be taken over.  He thought it was a good idea for there to be independent chapels here and there, anything to preserve the Faith.  I thought he made a good point.

AQ has a lot of SSPX-assisters, but the unsupervised wrath and hate there is sometimes so sick, it makes me wonder what the point of the site is.  Today a poster repeated a curse THREE times, damning Dr. Drolessky to burn in Hell with sedevacantists.  It was truly evil.  This dude can't post again till this Sunday.  And all of the people who have practiced scrupulous charity and have dared to say they think that the See is vacant get banned from ever reading there again.

So you can publicly sin big time, and it's really OK there.  I can't believe they keep the post there and allow people to say what this szandor guy did.  In this sense, the SSPX is infiltrated.

  • The fact that the SSPX is planning on reuniting with Rome is no good. It looks as if everything that the good Archbishop stood for means nothing. I do not believe that there can be communion with Rome until Rome has a Catholic Pope. When do you stop comprising? If someone makes a big batch of brownies, but, adds a little manure would you eat from it? Of course not. So to with the manure of modernism. Stay clear or it will affect everything about you.

I am sorry Campy, I try to have faith in Fellay, but, as alluded to in a recent interview, Bishop Williamson does not trust Bendedict. Nor do I.
I think that should they go crawling back to Rome, and make no mistake, that is how Rome and the media will make it sound they will have betrayed the saintly Archbishop and I really feel that you will  see SSPXer's jumping off before the ship goes over the waterfall. (Actually, I saw that picture on Fr. Moderator's site)

    Just my two cents.

  • Guys I'm no sedevacantist and I don't want to debate that issue.

  • There have BEEN splits in the past, so why should we think the future will be any different?

I would hope that so many people looking up to their founder, Archbishop Lefebvre, a man who stood up for the truth against error, that some of them would imitate their founder should the need arise.

God will use the SSPX to save souls, as long as the members are faithful. That is the key point. Bishop Williamson made that point very clear. He didn't want us to idolize either the Archbishop, or the SSPX -- though they should be given proper respect for what they have done. He wanted to emphasize that WHY the SSPX is flourishing is because we HAVE THE FAITH. If we ever compromise -- and lose the purity of the Faith, then God will raise up someone else and the Church will go on.

The famous phrase of Our Lord, that God can raise up children to Abraham of the very stones -- can be applied to Catholics, Traditional Catholics, and SSPX Catholics respectively.

We won't be saved because we're Catholic, or Trad. Catholic, or SSPX-attending Catholic. It will be because we kept the Faith, and have charity (Sanctifying Grace) in our souls.

    In Christ,

    Matthew

  • Yes, yes, yes.  I'm aware of all you have mentioned.

But are there certain individuals within the order that are suspected of being infiltrators?

Are there members that preach something contrary to the Catholic faith?

I have nothing against priests who have their own Independant chapels, as long as they keep the faith.

    Truth against error.

Has the society ever done or allowed anything erroneous?

So what if we don't trust Benedict?  God will deal with him when the time comes.

As long as we do our best to keep the mainstream's errors away from us we will do fine.

  • Dawn, you are absolutely correct.  I've been saying the same thing on several forums and only gotten shouted down, and even banned on Angelqueen.  Most people just don't get it.  Ratzinger is no trad, or even trad-sympathizer.
